Stolen Bag!

As Alexa sat in the uncomfortable airport seat, she let the feeling of stress ooze out of her. In a second, she'd get up to go use the bathroom, but for now, letting herself take a breath wouldn't hurt. Just as she was opening her eyes to get up and stretch, a large masked figure ran down the row. Grabbing Alexa and a man's bag, he bolted off. Immediately Alexa and the man stood up, beginning to chase the thief. Carol followed soon after, her long legs letting her catch up to Alexa in no time.

"Alexa. Chasing him like a superhero won't work. We need to get security." Carol said, the commanding voice of reason convincing the panting Alexa. In about a minute, they found an airport security guard, who was a bored looking young woman sitting at a desk. Her eyes opened in excitement at hearing Carol explain the events. Calling a code '902' over the intercom, she directed Carol, Alexa, and the unnamed young man to head to the main security office, on the other side of the airport.

"What if we miss our flight?" Alexa muttered to herself, standing there as Carol and the man walked away.

"Lexi, we won't miss our flight. Let's get your stuff back." Carol said, taking Alexa's hand semi-forcefully and pulling her along. Alexa let herself be manhandled a bit, and she found herself walking with her hand in Carol's on the way to the office.

Carol and Alexa made light conversation with the man as they walked to the security office. University student in his 4th year, going back to college for the fall. As they got near to the security office, he let Carol take the lead, as she explained the situation to another bored looking worker. Perking up, he escorted the group back into an office.

"Right. I'm Richard Naom, but you can just call me Rich if you want. Head of security for the airport. Could you all please give your testimony for the record, just so we know?" A large, older looking man said to them. He sat in a well worn chair, stereotypically munching on donuts. The young man, Devin, explained his story first, with Alexa beginning to explain the exact same story until someone opened the door to the room.

"Chief! Just had someone throw a bag at the head of Naomi. Got the perp." A panting lanky girl said, causing the man to stand up.

"Right, I think that's related to you. Can all of you hold tight while I go deal with this? Help yourself to some waters or donuts, this may take a bit." The man said bluntly, proceeding out of the room without taking any responses.

Alexa, Carol and Devin all looked around. Squeezing her legs together, Alexa tried to hold in her urge to pee. There was definitely a bathroom somewhere in the security station, but just as she was about to get up to go find one, Devin spoke up.

"So you where are you two headed? Mother daughter vacation?" He said, grabbing one of the donuts from the box. Offering it to Carol and Alexa, he let them make a choice. Carol spoke up in response.

"Not exactly. Lexi's on a business trip, I just dropped my youngest off at college." Carol said, handing the group waters from a mini fridge.

Conversation flowed easily between the group, especially once Devin realized Alexa was older then first thought. If she didn't know better, she definitely would think the man was flirting with her. Chugging down some water, and taking an offered coffee, she responded to Devin's question.

"Software Development, yep. Never hated hardware, it's just not my biggest thing.." She said, taking another one of the donuts from the box. Her nervousness and need to pee was making her munch or chug whatever was offered. Devin began to respond to her comment, but the door opened. The formerly well put together Chief looked a bit stressed, and seemed surprised at the group still in his office.
