You double-clicked on Ash's file to open it, then ran the gibberish through a custom XML sorter you wrote to get her data in a format more conducive to searches, as well as edits.

All of Ashlyn was here. Memories, personality, strengths, weaknesses, everything. You read her true feelings for you - which, of course, were almost exactly as she'd described them. If anything, she loved you even more than she knew. More than she could consciously understand.

So, you started delving more into your girlfriend's mind, becoming fixated the more you read. You wanted to see more. Go deeper. Explore the girl who'd stolen your new body's heart. So you did. You found out things about Ashlyn she'd never told anyone. That she didn't even know herself.

And right now, Ash was just text. A file. Just like old Carrie was. Just like Cassidy had been, before you had her sister delete her.

You felt a sharp surge of power. Of warm excitement.

This is what Cassidy warned you about. Your body - it wanted things. It liked to do things its own way. It wanted to take risks, push boundaries, break barriers. And suddenly, finding yourself with your girlfriend's mind totally at your mercy, like putty in your hands, you weren't sure what you wanted more - to help Ashlyn, or to change her.

With all of your girlfriend laid out before you like a book, you saw ways how you could help her. Little ways. Big ways. Huge ways.

You could use the information you now knew to help her on a personal level. Just as you've been doing before, but with a roadmap.

You could type away her problems. Erase them. But then you'd be changing who Ashlyn was, fundamentally, in the process.

Or you could tweak her. Keep what you liked, and twist her problems out of existence. She'd be twisted too, but twisted, to you, wasn't necessarily a bad thing.
