Steel Sword

Ah, the basic weapon for any RPG. From Link in TLOZ, Simon in TLOS, and about a quarter of the Smash Bros roster. Actually I think that I counted Link a couple times, but my point still stands. Any way, you'll be given a steel sword, good for cutting or smacking if you use the pummel. You'll also have all the information on how to use swords instantly be given you. It will be like you have been practicing for the last 15 years of your life. As an added benefit, you'll also be given the strength to hold it and swing for at least a couple of hours at a time. You won't be able to take on a sword master head to head, or a couple of a city's guards, but you can usually take on a bandit or two at a time as long as they don't get the drop on you.

By the way, bandits tend to be citizens or merchants that gave up on that life and decided to take to robbing people instead for money. A couple are even people like you, who were brought here by me and then kind, lost themselves? Guess they kind of went a bit crazy and wanted to stay. Don't worry, once they die here they'll just wake up in their bed. Those guys are lot more dangerous, and generally become bandit leaders or other slightly more important people. Try not to become like them, and complete your journey. It'll be more interesting that way.
