Stay with the Pod

You decide that trudging around into an unknown wilderness is not the best idea. You elect to stay with the pod and set up along the beach, after all the pod is sturdy and could act as quite the effective shelter. The only issue is that it is along the shore and it could wash out to sea either while your not here or worse, while you are in the pod.

You could try and move it so it is further along the beach, the issue is that you are not strong enough to move a huge metal pod that likely weighs hundreds of pounds, additionally you may end up making its position worse.

You could leave it where it is and trust that the thing is embedded deep enough within the sand that the tide could not claim it, but that would be leaving things to fate which you are not to keen on.
