Stay put

You take a moment to take in your new surroundings. The forest here is as thick as ever, only broken by the stream flowing next to you. Although if you followed the water upstream you would be headed generally in the direction that the party was headed, you have no idea where it will lead you. Besides, if Nell and the others come looking for you, the last thing you want to do is to wander off somewhere when they could otherwise find you where you are right now.

You are pretty scraped up from your tumble, and the first thing you want to do is get yourself cleaned up. You slip your boots off and step into the steam. The cold water is refreshing after your unexpected tumble. You crouch down to cup some of it in your hands and shiver a bit as you splash it on your now exposed chest. Once you get used to the temperature, though, it is incredibly soothing. You continue splashing your entire body in the water, glad to be able to clean all the dust off of your skin and out of your hair.

You are still enjoying yourself in the water, however, as you hear something in the distance downstream. A loud crash followed by a booming voice startles birds in the area and catches your attention. You pause your splashing and instinctively bring your arms up to your breasts, looking around for the source of the noise. Slowly, so as to not make too much noise, you step out of the stream and pick up your boots. Hiding behind a tree nearby, you search for the source of the commotion.
