Stay put.

When no one was looking, I somehow managed to tie the silk sheet around my waist again. So that meant I was stuck here waiting for Rorke to return and open the door. Sitting down to pass the time, the silk blanket bunched up to reveal my long muscular legs. I laid the box down beside me and crossed my arms over my bare chest. I groaned at my boredom as the minutes slowly passed by. I was beginning to nod off. Just when I thought the tedium was about to put me to sleep, an angel appeared to alleviate my loneliness.

"Hey there Jack-my-bee!" That cheerful tone immediately woke me up.

"Zayne!" I was smiling ear to ear despite my situation. Zayne was wearing a different outfit from before, he was sporting a green-striped polo shirt with gray cargo shorts and orange crocs. He still looked gorgeous. He was also carrying two mugs of something steaming in each hand. "You changed your clothes?"

Zayne's perfect smile turned into a frown. "Yeah, one of my friends spilled her beer on me while we were loading up just waiting for the food. That delivery guy is taking forever!" He sat down next to me and offered me a mug. "So I brewed some coffee to help sober everybody up. Thought I would offer you a cup since your still out here." His lovely eyes trailed up and down my half-naked body. "You must be so cold."

I accepted the mug graciously and chugged it down. It was filled with plenty of cream and sugar like how I normally took my coffee. "Uh, the rest of your friends aren't going to come out here and see me again are they?" I asked nervously. I was not looking forward to have a bunch of girls hang around me again while I'm still practically naked.

"Honestly, the thought occurred to me to bring them out here to sneak a peek at what your packing under that sheet Mr. Long Legs." Zayne gave me a wicked smirk which looked cute despite my apprehension. I feebly tugged the blanket downward to cover up my exposed thighs but it wouldn't go any lower in this position. "But ultimately," he nudged me with his shoulder. "I decided I wanted to have you all to myself."

Strange. What was this feeling of elation that was growing along with the butterflies in my stomach? The second I realized it was just going to be me and Zayne alone out here together, a giddy eruption of happiness surged from within me.

From that point on, we started chatting about anything we could talk about just to kill time. He told me about how he was the manager of a theme restaurant and how his day went sour when one of his best workers quit on him out of nowhere. I told him about how my family used to be rich until we lost all our money, forcing me to come mooch off my friend until I find a job. We talked about happier things as well; our favorite bands, our dearest friends, our favorite books, what we liked on TV, and so much more.

As the conversation continued to get more light-hearted, Zayne decided to get more comfortable by leaning his head on my bare shoulder. The motion caught me off guard a bit, but rather than freaking out I welcomed the intimacy. In fact, I decided to take advantage of the situation myself. Ever since I saw Cassidy lay her hands on top of Zayne's blonde red-streaked hair I have been dying to do the same thing. While Zayne continued to talk about this hilarious story about a guy he heard about getting embarrassed at his workplace in front of this girl he liked, I casually raised my hand to stroke his head. I couldn't resist taking a quick whiff of his shampoo.

Oh my God, he smells amazing!

His hair was just as soft and fluffy as it looked. I continued to pet him while laughing away at his jokes. As I breathed in his scent, I silently wished that this moment would go on forever.

But alas, all good things must come to an end.
