You stay low and they keep walking without any suspicion. You keep your eyes on them and follow them back to the pazaak decks. There, they check the identity of every person wearing a robe, but you are only watching it from a distance. When they get to a certain person sitting at a pazaak deck, you hear a girl's voice as she gestures with her hands:

Hooded girl: You will move along, you haven't found the Jedi you are looking for.

Guards: We will move along, we haven't found the Jedi we are looking for.

The guards turn around and head back the way they came from.

Lana (thinking): She must be a Jedi! That was a mind trick! What would a Jedi doing here? I was supposed to be the only one... Maybe the masters didn't trust my abilities to get through with this mission...? I better talk to her...

You approach her from behind, without her seeing you. She is at the middle of a game with high stakes as it seems.

Lana: Hey there, can we have a moment?

Hooded girl (lifting her hand up to do a mind trick on you): Ah, not an other guard again... You will move al...

You grab her hand, to which she turns towards you.

Lana: Look, I know your trick and... By the ****, Barriss?!

Barriss: Lana?! What are you doing here?!

Lana: I was going to ask you the same! What are you doing at a place like this?!

Barriss: Keep your voice down please, we should remain in incognito! "Our kind", isn't welcome here...

An overview of a game of pazaak

In short, the game is about having a few cards (which you can decide to play or not) plus you can pull new ones onto the deck. They all have numbers on them, could be + or - from 1 to 10 (the ones drawn onto the deck are always +). The numbers are added on both your sides, closest to 20 wins, the one who goes above 20 loses instantly. Barriss is at 19 and she stands. Her opponent is at 18 and draws a new card, which is a +2, so he wins the game and all the credits on the table.

Barriss: NO! Impossible! All the +2-s have been played already, there could have been no more of them!

Pazaak player: Too bad your luck ran out at the final round kid! Glad we could play, do pay us a visit next time too and please, bring more credits!

Barriss: Damned cheater!

Lana: Calm down Barriss and explain what are you doing here? And why were those guards after you?

Barriss: I have just lost a game and... It wasn't my first time losing... When I lost the previous game, I might have... Ehm... Mind tricked my opponent to pick a fight with the bouncers...
