Stay in Claire's skin for now

" I kinda like being Claire," you admit to the Katie-shaped girl who's really Jessica. "But I don't really like that Scott guy. I don't think I can act like Claire with him around."

The fake Katie takes out a brown version of the black pen-shaped gadget used to make people into wearable suits. "This'll help," she says, and points it at her face and zaps herself with a brief flash of light. Suddenly she seems... more like the usual Katie: there had been a touch of Jessica to her, but that was gone now. "It covers up my Jessica personality with a copy of Katie's and gives me her memories. Those go away when I skin myself. You'll find it's easier to be Claire if I use it on you."

"I'll like Scott?"

"You'll see what Claire sees in him, anyway. Your real self stays in control." Katie seizes your Claire body and kisses you on your Claire lips as if she were still Jessica and you were entirely David, then says, "See? I'm still your Jess underneath the Katie self!"
