Chapter 16

Which does Lauren choose?

Stay home

The following morning, Lauren grumpily sat in a playpen in the mansion's living room, arms crossed as she was sucking on a pacifier, her hair in pigtails, and dressed in only a diaper. She was starting to think that she might have chosen the wrong choice as she angrily glared at Cassandra, who was currently talking with Lauren’s new babysitter – a blonde, bubbly, curvaceous eighteen-year old.

“Okay, Tina,” Cassandra addressed the babysitter, “the emergency numbers are on the fridge, the diapers are in the nursery closet, and there should be enough baby food and formula to last until Michelle (Rachel’s new name) and I get back. Bedtime is five thirty, so make sure she’s had dinner and is given a bath by then.”

“Don’t worry, Ms. Mankowitz!” Tina said with a smile. “I’ll take good care of your little angel! You and your sister have a good time!”

“Oh, we will! And please, call me Wilma (Cassandra’s new name).” Cassandra said, looking over to Lauren with a smirk. Walking up to the playpen, Cassandra reached in and planted a big kiss on Lauren’s forehead. “You be a good girl for Ms. Tina while Mommy and Auntie Michelle are away. We’ll be back in two months.”

Lauren glared angrily at her, but the pacifier, diaper, and pigtails only made her look silly. Cassandra leaned in and whispered in her ear, “Don’t blame us. You’re the one who decided to play baby for a complete stranger for two whole months instead of coming with us, in which you could have been your normal self in the privacy of our hotel room.” Cassandra chuckled as she playfully ruffled Lauren’s hair.

“Bye!” Cassandra said, waving goodbye as she ran out the door. Lauren whimpered as she saw her former lackey jump into a car with Rachel, before driving off.
