Chapter 13 by Katnaace Katnaace

Taking the next step

Starting to like this

One day quickly turned into two, with those two days turning into four. And finally, a week.

They would wake up, pray, get dressed, have breakfast, doing their various tasks at their specified places (the office for Rina, home for Carla), have their second prayer of the day, eat lunch, pray for the third time that day. Then Rina would come home, they would do their fourth prayer, cook dinner, relax, change into their pajamas, pray for the fifth and final time of the day and then head to bed.

As routines went, both women had actually been quite consistent. In between all of that, they had even managed to finish reading their quran at least once.

"Ding-Dong!"

Running over to the door, Rina made an effort to not trip over her abaya. While it had already happened a couple of times, she was quickly improving.

Coming to a stop, she pulled the door open. There Haniya stood, decked out in a dark blue hijab and gray long dress.

"How goes it?" Haniya inquired, just catching a smile from under the couple's niqabs. "I take it you're starting to get the hang of this?"

The couple nodded.

"If you want, I can take you to a mosque and we can do your shamada." Haniya explained, catching the couple by surprise. "Okay. Maybe think about it and we can find a time in the future."

Carla made her way over to her wife. Designs in hand, that didn't stop her from nuzzling Rina at the moment. Which her wife returned the favor. Did get them a tiny 'aw' from their host.

"Oh my."

The abayas on display were designed for more formal occasions, but they could just as easily be worn in normal situations. Quite a number of them in fact.

"I was think of starting a shop that sold abayas. Would you be interested?" Carla inquired and watched her friend's face light up. Taking a deep breath, she let her focus shift for just a moment towards her wife. Rina gave her a thumbs-up. "I'll take that as a yes then?"

Haniya nodded.

"It would beat having to buy them off of Taiga." she remarked, letting out a chuckle.

The rest of the visit was pretty plain, outside of all three of them nearly spilling their tea on their headdresses.

Life goes on
