Start the mission.

While your hair becomes messy and your makeup wears away, when the grand city of Tolis comes into view, Delphi takes you aside to do you up once again. You sit on a stump as Fang combs back your hair, and the little pixie wields tools of her own. It's more like painting a mural for her, but she does so with expert precision. Soon you're all tidied up. It might be a shame to hide all that work, but you still pull the hood over your head, and Delphi flutters down to hide within the coverage of your cloak. You and Fang hopefully don't stick out from other adventurers, because it's time to enter the city.

If Rabbit's Foot truly is being trapped by magic, you're going to need to figure out more. She'd definitely have escaped already if she was able. You make your way down the bustling streets and you blend in perfectly. Nobody even bats an eye. The sun is on its way towards the horizon already as well which aids your stealth.

"So you know where the house is, right?" you ask.

Fang looks over. "Of course. The Relestel family has an estate around where a lot of other nobles live. Though it's the fanciest place you're going to see. A district for nobility in empire's capital city? I think you can imagine."

"Damn. Yeah. We better be careful."

"So what's the plan?"

"I say we get close, Delphi shrinks me down, and then we sneak in and scout around. Best case scenario, we find RF herself and she can explain everything. Worst case scenario, I left my Arcane Eye back home. It's this magic item I can see through and control. So if we run into trouble, I can try and let the others know. Then you can keep an eye outfit for the time being. I guess this isn't normal work for a vigilante, huh? Breaking and entering?"

"Well, if her family consists of criminals, then this is pretty normal work. Though I don't usually do a lot of stealthy things unless I'm just getting the jump on a mugger or something."

"Fair enough. I can't judge. We never stealth either. The only reason this might work is we'll be six-inches tall. So how powerful is her family? I know her mother hosted a ball for nobles from all around, but that's probably normal for those families, right?"

"Not the most influential family in Tolis, but they're up there. It's pretty debatable. Those sort of families bicker and fight all the time, competing for power. Man, that's so cool that she'd masquerade as a hero... A wealthy, attractive girl, tired of her life in dresses, going out to kick ass in a spandex suit..."

"How does spandex even exist in this world?"

"What do you mean?"

"Never mind. Let's just get ready. When the sun goes down, then we'll move out. We'll make up some sort of signal you can give if you spot danger, and you can watch our backs while we prod around inside. Are you sure you still want to do this with is, Fa--"

"Yes!" She clenches her fist. "There's no way I'm abandoning her."

"Not all bunnyfolk and catfolk fight, eh? Guess I shouldn't be surprised."

"Of course not. I couldn't care less what happened in the past. Especially if they're a cute girl."

"Uh. Well, let me tell you the tale of our previous quest. Though you might not believe it..."

It'll still be a few hours at least until night comes, so your party finds a random tavern in the corner of town where you can hopefully eat dinner without drawing any attention. There you explain to Fang the adventure you had--meeting Feli, her issues with Lepo, and where things went from there. You strategically skip over the near-**** threesome, but her jaw hangs ajar the entire story. Even when you finish, she continues to stare.

You look around and slowly reach for your mug to take a sip. Though just as you do, Fang slaps her hands down onto the table.

"You did what?!"

"Not so loud," you whisper. "Yeah I know. It's strange."

"You're really in another league now, aren't you? 10th level, meeting with ancient creators, and who knows what else you've been doing? I feel a lot more confident now that we can pull this off... but I wish I could have met those goddesses myself."

The sun sets and darkness cloaks the city, though lamps lining the streets illuminate with a cool mystical glow. It's time.
