Start the day at last.

The four of you tidy up the manor with the supplies you're able to find. It isn't a perfect job, but it's a start. There will be plenty of time in the future to clean things up more. Fortunately, the last resident left behind some supplies--barrels, crates, writing materials, some pots and pans, though not much else. It takes a few hours, and you're all covered in filth from both that and the days prior, so you eagerly await a nice hot bath.

"Let's not take all day here," you explain. "So you guys bathe first. I'll go after. Then while I'm in there, you can get a head start on things."

Niki crosses her arms. "No fair. We all gotta share, but you get the bath all to yourself, and you can stay in there longer, since we'll be out working."

"Oh I'm sorry. Let's all get in together then."

She stops. "Point taken... Fine! Maybe your plan sounds good after all."

"Together...?" mutters Eva.

You continue to explain. "This is how I reckon it's going to work. We'll all go out and get supplies for ourselves as well as for home. The rule will be that everyone needs to spend at least five G on things that benefit the estate specifically. Preferably food. That way, we'll all end the day with twenty gold pieces worth of stock, and we'll be good for awhile. Spend the rest on whatever, but I would suggest actually saving--"

"I've never even had this much money before!" Niki interupts. "Maybe I can buy my way back into the Party's Rest."

"I don't even care anymore. Spend your own money on whatever you want. Just don't eat more than your share of the stuff we have at home if you go broke..."

"Yes sir!" she says with an eager salute.

I don't trust that at all.

"I'll just kinda finish tidying up and exploring the estate while you three clean up," you say. "Let's go, team."

And they're off.
