Star Labs/The next morning

Later the same evening at Star Labs Superman was looking at Lois being in a hospital bed in a locked room he'd managed to remove much of the radioactive gas from her system but she hadn't woken up yet. "You're lucky you go her here when you did Superman" says a concerned Dr Klein, "Will she be okay?" Asks Superman. Dr Kelin considers his answer "Let's get her through tonight, you best try and get some sleep Superman". Superman turned away pressing his hand against the glass he was internally conflicted seeing Lois had brought all of those feelings flooding back but at the same time his love for Diana was so strong he felt an utter aching in his heart being away from her, refusing her even as he looked at Lois breathing through a ventilator thoughts of Diana's beauty shot across his mind he turned and flew away.

Meanwhile at Diana's office she's annoyed "He refused me for that little twinkie! Lane has some kind of bond with him...no matter I'll just have to break his heart...by breaking her neck that's even if she survives and then I'll pick up the pieces and the man of steel will be all mine again she laughs manically. "Besides which we have the footage and that's the main thing" she adds Rolf nods "Out". Diana smiles at him, they move closer, Rolf's lips twitch as they're inches apart when Diana suddenly shakes her empty chamaohn glass in his face he grabs it and quickly fills it.

Elswhere across town in the glamourous home of Mindy Church builders are frantically working in her bedroom as she stares at a set of blueprints she smiles as she directs the workers.

The following morning Clark turns up for work not having his senses constantly under attack from Diana's lipstick had allowed his mind to clear slightly. The second he walks into the office he's instantly called into Perry's office "Oh, so you decided to come back to work eh? What do you have to say for yourself?". Clark quickly thinks on his feet "Well I was doing some undercover reporting on Intergang high level stuff I thought you knew?". Perry had a whole dressing down he had rehearsed but he hadn't expected an answer like that he tripped over his words and coughed as he inhaled his cigar "Well of course I knew son, just...make sure I know before you go next time okay?" Clark nods. "Just whe I get on reporter back inlose another where the hell is Lane?". Clark explains the situation to Perry "I'm sorry son, I know you're close and all how is she doing?" "She's stable it looks like she's gonna make a full recovery, to be honest chief I'm only here this morning to have a look what Lois was working on I'm sure there's foul play at work". "Really? Then stop your yammering and get to it" replies Perry. Clark returns to Louis' desk the drawers on her desk are locked Clark has a quick check of the area and feeling confident knowing is looking gently yanka the drawer busting the lock. Clark pulls out a file on Michael DeSantos but u derbeath sees a file marked Diana Stride he opened the folder he couldn't believe what he was reading it couldn't be true Lois was working in the theory that Diana was an assassin for intergang, there was a list of names shed allegedly murdered all men, photos of Diana with them before the or deaths. Clark refused to accept it he knew he needed to see Diana he got up and left the office.

A young intern notices Clark leave the office he picks up a phone "Mrs C, I don't know why you care so much but Clark Kent just left the building". Meanwhile on a carphone Mindy Church is sat with her dog on her lap in the back of a limosine "I don't pay you for your opinions, I'm paying you too watch Clark Kent which way is he headed?" She hangs up the phone lifts the dog and kisses his nose. "Oooh" she says "Looks like I need a touch up" she reaches into her a bag and pulls out the lipstick shed stolen from Diana and applies it a predatory smile pours across her face.
