Possibly, thanks to convergent evolution, this line is related to the Zorua / Zoroark one due the fact that both liked to use illusions and or trick's in battle or general life, mascareding as attractive male or females to bamboozle their target.

Legends states that they liked to do this pretty much as a form of mean prank or some sort or rite of passage so they can enter a "Guild", what a group of Meowscarada's is called, likely do to their similitude to the rouge's of that time.

However sometimes one or two of this examples would actually fall for their target, sometimes even reveling their true nature.

Ancient historians are still debating but most agree that this is a big posible reason why Paldea was always so lax in the Human x Pokémon affair.
