Spirit of the Forest

Assessing the conversation of your immortal qi into heavenly qi, you quickly surmise the difference is over a thousand times greater. This being the case, the native immortal realm cultivators have an innate advantage as they will have converted far more of their qi. Spreading your sense out, you quickly find that this forest encompasses far more than even your senses reach. You decide it’s best to kill and collect the corpses of monster beast, as you will likely require money when you eventually come upon a settlement. You quickly section of an area in the miniaturized world bead to put the bodies, before hunting the monster beasts. Monster beasts have monstrous growth and reproductive rates, meaning you don’t need to worry about wiping their populations out as long as you don’t kill their young. With space **** your capable of easily moving from one beast to the next, using space condensing on their brain stem to persevere the quality of their body as much as possible.

You find most of these monster beasts specialize in illusionary seductive techniques, attempting to make you believe you cultivating with a woman, as they kill your defenseless body. Unluckily for them, with your extraordinary senses and mastery of seductive abilities, you are one of the least susceptible to their techniques. Instead you allow yourself to fall into them partially, only to break free when they lower their guard to kill them. For most other cultivators, such illusions would either kill them, or make them crazy after falling into so many. Luckily as you’ve become part divine spirit, your soul is far stronger than average, letting you handle the burden with ease. So while others may only hunt a few beasts a day here, you slaughter thousands in a single day, while slowly making your way through the forest. You also manage to find some rare and useful herbs, quickly transplanting them in the world bead.

After traveling through the forest for almost three months, you come to a grand tree, dwarfing all the other trees as if their merely saplings. Suddenly a owl appears before you. Upon closer inspection, you realize that it’s a spirit.

“Young one! What brings you to my forest?” The spirit says, his expression completely unreadable.

“I come from a lower world, and found myself here!” You explain.

“I see! But that doesn’t mean you can slaughter my children!” The owl growls, suddenly turning hostile. It’s at this point you realize that it’s the spirit of the forest! It’s power greatly dwarves your own. You quickly draw power from Aki, just in time to block his attack.” Divine spirit!?” The owl screams, now fearful of you, as he sensed Aki’s power you used. Divine spirit’s are the strongest of all other spirits, possessing the ability to suppress the lesser spirit of desired. Meaning that this owl dares not offend you.” Please forgive me! I had eyes, but failed to see!” He said, leaning forward to mimic a bow.

“It’s fine! Do you mind explaining some things to me though?” You ask, as Aki’s knowledge of the heavenly realm is limited, and is all you have to work on.

“If that is what you wish! What do you wish to know?” The owl replies. You ask various questions, and the owl did it’s best to answer them. Allowing you a much better understanding of this world.

“Don’t you wish you could leave this forest? You ask.

“Sometimes I do ponder what it would be like, but this tree is my true body! I won’t last very long if I separate from it.” Answers the owl.

“What if I could take you with me? Would you be willing to go with me?” You ask.

“ I would be honored to follow and serve you, but that is merely a dream!” The owl replies. You then take out the miniaturized world bead, stunning the owl, as it recognizes what it is.

“If you let me, I could transplant the tree inside here! That should allow to roam with me, as long as you don’t separate from me for to long!” You say, causing the owl to quickly nod.

“Please do so! Take me with you Master!” The owl says. It takes nearly all your power to transplant the tree into the garden within the bead. The owl then enters the tree, as it rapidly absorbs vitality from the world, allowing it to evolve. You decide to continue on your way as the owl evolves itself. So you continue hunting and gathering as you pass through the forest. As you come across the end of the forest, you sense the owls evolution completing. You enter the bead to watch, as the owl finally exists the tree in it’s new human form.

“Master! I thank you for giving me such a blessing! Please grant me a name, that I may use in your service!” The owl bows to you. It feels a bit strange that the owl who surpasses you calls you master, but you just let it go.

“Then I name you Fukuro Shinran!” You say, keeping it simple.

“Thank you so much master! I shall do my best to repay you for your kindness!” Fukuro responds. You then head out of the forest together. You then soon find a road, meaning you can follow to get to some settlement. You pick a direction and head of with Fukuro. He especially takes time to take in the sights, the world outside the forest being completely foreign to him. It’s not long before you finally can see a settlement. It’s rather large, likely considered a great city! You approach, but are quickly stopped by the guards.

“All those who wish to enter Shintari City must pay the tax of a hundred heaven crystals each!” The guard says. You understand that heaven crystals are the superior currency to ancient spirit stones, but are unfamiliar with the conversion rate.

“All I have is ancient spirit stones, how many make up a heavenly stone?” You ask.

“A million!” The guard says plainly. Two hundred million ancient spirit stones is about all of the stones you brought, showing just how much richer this world is. You quickly prepare a space ring with them, before handing it to the guards. They then hand you two tokens.” These are your visitor visas! They expire after a week, so you need to either leave or renew them. If your caught with no, or expired visa, you will be imprisoned!” The guards say. You thank them before the two of you finally head inside.
