Spell Book

Vanessa walks around the store for awhile, but can’t help being drawn towards the bookshelf. Looking through the books, most of them were is some language she couldn’t understand. That was until she stumbled on one that claimed to be a Spell Book. This filled Vanessa with nostalgia as she held it in her hands. When she was a little kid she had believed that magic was real. She had convinced her parents to buy her many books that claimed to contain the spells of witches or ancient sorcerers. Obviously none of them had worked, but it was still fun. Looking down at the book in her hands, she knew she had to buy it, even if it was a bunch of bullshit. Taking it up to the counter, the old woman had a creepy grin on her face.

“Are you just getting this today?” She asked, her crackling old voice seemed to echo around the room.

“Umm, yeah. That’s all.” Vanessa responded, giving the old woman her money.

“Perfect. Enjoy.” The old woman said, waving her bony hand as Vanessa turned to leave as quickly as possible.

Vanessa held the book close to her chest as she made her way to her car. She was so excited to see what was in the book. Once she was home, she didn’t waste a second. Sitting on her bed, she flipped through the books pages. There were easily hundreds of different spells contain in the pages. Some required complex rituals, while others were simply a line of words. Some where for one person and some were for multiple people. Vanessa knew she had to try one out for fun, but what to pick.
