What’s a Soul Link?

Soul Links are the physical measure of the bond you share with another person. With them, you can strengthen relationships significantly more quickly than would otherwise be possible. They can also provide the opportunity to begin a relationship that may have been impossible previously.

Can't I just work on my relationships without Soul Links?

The Chronicle System immediately begins to amplify or dampen the existing emotions of a Rank 1 Soul Link, accelerating the rate at which your actions have an emotional effect on that person. It is possible for a Soul Linked person to fall in love with the user in the span of a single day if the user is charming or cunning enough. Regular relationships can take years to build without this advantage.

How do I start a Soul Link?

Take a picture of the person you wish to forge a Soul Link with, and then choose to register them in the Chronicle. Once they are registered, they will advance from Rank 0 to Rank 1 and you may then begin strengthening your Soul Link with them.

Why should I strengthen my Soul Links?

As Soul Link ranks increase, certain advantages will be granted to you by the Chronicle System. Utilizing these advantages to their fullest potential will allow the user to dictate what form their Soul Link takes as it advances. Rank 0 has no advantages, while higher ranks of Soul Links will grant Miracles.

What are Miracles, and how do they work?

Miracles are abilities granted to the user, which fall outside of the realm of human possibility. The Miracles granted to each user are determined by the System as it comes to understand the users needs and desires. Except in very rare cases, no two users will be granted identical abilities.

How do I strengthen my Soul Links?

Starting from Rank 1, each Soul Link will require the user to find a Key to unlock further reaches of that Link's heart. Keys can take many shapes and forms, all of which are determined by the whim of the Chronicle System.

So I can sit back and watch my relationships flourish without lifting a finger?

The Chronicle System and the advantages it provides can be tremendously powerful, but while the System can amplify and dampen emotions, it cannot give birth to new ones or destroy existing ones. This is why the user must still put forth their best effort to sway the emotions of their Soul Links in their favor.
