Somewhere Safe

You wake up in a hospital bed. The nurses are surprised to see you up and it's quickly explained to you how you got here. Apparently there was a massive explosion from somewhere in the house that collapsed most of it and you got caught up in it. You were pulled from the wreckage sometime after by emergency workers, dirty but otherwise unharmed - the nurse talking to you told you just how much of a miracle it was. You weren't waking up so you were brought to a nearby hospital yesterday, it had apparently been receiving most of the people hurt in the house's collapse.

It's not long before your up. The nurses recommend against it but you feel fine, which is unusual admittedly but if nobody including yourself can see any problems why continue resting? Besides you're worried about Allegra and Jenny, you haven't heard anything about either of them and when you finally get your phone back they haven't called you or sent any messages either. After reclaiming your belongings you're at the front desk, signing paper work provided by a man about your age.

"No need to confine a pretty lady like yourself to a hospital bed if she doesn't need it I say." You give him a strange look over his words, you're not exactly used to getting compliments from strangers. Not that you necessarily mind, it's just strange.

"Thanks..." Your face is flushed as you finish signing the form and hand it back. As you leave the hospital he waves goodbye with a smile, you feel so embarrassed by the unexpected attention you have to practically hide your face. You head home as fast as you can, you're worried about Keith and your friends but for now you have to hope they're okay. As you enter the room one of the first things you do is go to the bathroom, as you finish you nearly do a double take as you see yourself in the mirror.
