Somewhere Dark and Private

In order to grow your nest will need access to something with actual life, not the sterility of a city. It should also be somewhere out of the way - an individual or even small group of humans is no problem for you but until the swarm is growing you can't afford to have your presence be widely known, you'll need somewhere secluded.

Your mind turns to one of the local parks in the area, it's a fair ways away from where you are now due to being at the edge of the city but it has something valuable to you. There's a network of caves in the area, only a small portion of it is open to the public. It would be all too easy to set up shop within, you'd even be able to capture anyone that wandered too close, and the natural life in the area would feed your growing swarm.

The journey to the park takes quite some time unfortunately. You walk the entire way on foot, public transit has too high a risk of something going wrong with it for you. Every once in awhile your mind wanders enough that you can feel control of Evelyn slipping, but you're always able to refocus and maintain your control. The sun is starting to rise as you finally reach the park and enter the caves. You find yourself able to see in the pitch black caves without any effort, although there's no sense of color. Eventually you reach a point of the cave you feel is sufficiently deep, your enhanced senses giving you a feeling for such things.

With but a thought your 'children' squirm out from your body through your vagina and begin to burrow into the cave. You can feel them extending into the rock and soil, sucking up nutrients they find. Before long the stone is overtaken by organic growth, its' appearance identical to the room from the house. And then you will the first true growth of your new hive. A circular growth forms on the floor, growing into a spherical pod - a chamber for your new recruit's transformation.
