Something is afoot!

Tani Rey looked over curiously as she walked by Kono’s office noting that Cat and Abby were there as well. She had a feeling that something big was going down. Tani liked her new boss, the woman was a legend after all. She missed her old team though. She still kept in touch with them but it was different not coming to work with them. Tani really missed Junior, who was her fiance. It was still in the works but as soon as he was back from his deployment they were going to get married. Junior had promised her that once they were married he would leave the navy officially. Since Kono had hired Abby there was no space for him on the task **** but Adam was willing to take him on as another consultant and Adam paid good money. Plus that would have Junior working with his idol Steve McGarret once more. She knew he would be bummed not to be on Five-0 but at least he could work with his old friends, Steve and Adam. Tani could not wait until he was home safe with her and day dreamed about it often.

“Something going on?” Asked a voice behind Tani, snapping her thoughts back to the task at hand. The voice came from a tall blonde who was apparently an HVAC mechanic. Tani had never met an HVAC mechanic that looked like Amazonian model before but she figured times were changing. The mechanic was dressed in dark green overalls with a patch over her breast pocket that stated that her name was Jane. Her long blonde hair was tied back in a lose bun revealing a pretty face that did not look like a face of someone that would be tinkering with ventilation systems for a living.

The AC had been on the fritz for a couple of days now and Kono had finally gotten around to call someone in to give it a look. That someone was Jane tall and blonde. Tani had been tasked to escort Jane being that the palace was state property and Five-0 HQ. All morning Tani had followed Jane around as the woman looked at the office’s AC system. It was boring but Junior had texted her so that kept her entertained. Jane was finally done and the office was feeling cooler now so it was about time for Tani to focus on real work as soon as she walked Jane out.

“Probably...but nothing you should worry about.” Tani replied following Jane’s gaze before looking back at the tall blonde. “So we’re all good?”

Jane nodded, “Yeah all good, it should be really chilled in here soon...” she said with smile adjusting her large tool bag in her left hand and then reaching out with her left. “Its been fun Officer Rey.”

Tani took Jane’s hand, “It has, thanks for coming out.”

“This way to the elevators?” Jane asked gesturing to the exit. Tani’s attention was back on Kono’s office so the mechanic took a quick moment to look over her escort. She had olive skin with long dark hair and eyes. Her slim figure was clad in dark tight fitting jeans, an orange and black Hawaiian button-up short-sleeved shirt and she walked on black heeled ankle boots. A gold badge of her office sat clipped on her belt with a holstered sidearm at her hip.

“Yeah...” Tani replied her attention clearly not on her charge who was looking her down from head to toe.

“Well, I’ll let myself out then, let you get back to work.”

“Yeah,” Tani said turning back to Jane. “Send the Governor the bill I guess, thanks again.”

“No problem,” Jane said with nod and smile before leaving.

Turning back on her heels Tani heads to the center of the office where Quinn Liu and Lori Weston are standing the computerized smart board. The pair were going over a robbery homicide case they had picked up late the day before. Since Lori re-joined Five-0 she and Quinn have been teamed together often and the two were also hanging out outside of work too becoming fast friends. Of everyone on the Task ****, Lori and Quinn were also the boldest often doing things a little reckless. They called it channeling their ‘inner Steve’. Though Kono was a bit on the wild side before she left Five-0 and even during her time on the mainland while chasing down sex traffickers she was known to be reckless too. As a boss though she found herself trying rein in Lori and Quinn. There were specific meetings that Kono attended every week with Chin and Governor Mahoe specifically on what Lori and Quinn had gotten into that week. This past week it was an incident involving a para sail, a stolen/borrowed horse and a suspect that had gotten two broken legs.

Lori was a blonde but being the second blonde in the office she did not stand out. She did have big blue eyes that set her a part from Abby. She was a little less curvier than the older blonde as well. Lori had a slender tall frame that was currently clad in a button-up khaki top with the sleeves tightly rolled up to her elbows, tight fitting gray trousers and clunky brown boots. Her partner Quinn had shoulder length dark hair and athletic curvy frame. She was dressed in a long-sleeved open neck olive green top over dark blue jeans and black leather biker-style boots. Both women had their badges and sidearms on their belts. They looked up as Tani approached them and pause their conversation.

“You guy know what’s going on?” Tani asked gesturing towards Kono’s office.

Quinn looks over her shoulder and shrugs, “Beats me but it looks like it’s important though.”

“Abby and Cat had a thing this morning maybe it has something to do with that?” Lori added with her own shrug.

“A thing?” Tani asked glancing back at Kono’s office.

“Abby met some informant and Cat went in as backup,” Lori replied.

“Cat in the field, this does sound big...” Tani said. “I guess we won’t find out until they rope us in,” she added with a sigh looking back at Lori and Quinn. “You guys need help on anything?”

“I think we got this,” Lori replied.

“Yeah, the wife so did this,” Quinn pointed out.

“The wife? No way it’s the mistress...” Lori argued.

Tani smiled, “I’ll leave you ladies to it then.” She then headed to her office, she did have some paper work she had to check on. Tani took another glance at Kono’s office before opening the door to her office.
