Something else that's just as humiliating

Maria pondered about what to do when she spotted something out of the corner of her eye. It was a long line of people waiting in front of a bunch of fake buildings surrounded by trees and presents. Maria smirked as she realized what it was.

Lauren, wondering why Maria was taking so long to answer, looked in the direction her tormentor was looking and gasped in a mixture of terror and embarrassment, her cheeks blazing. It was that stupid little Santa's Village that the mall put up every year! Despite Christmas being three months away, this mall had always liked to be prepared a head of time.

"Please, Ms. Maria..." Lauren whimpered as she shook her head. "Please, no."

"Oh, hush, Laurie!" Maria said with a giggle as she turned the stroller and pushed it towards the line, "Besides, little babies love Santa!"

Lauren could only whimper and shake as Maria pushed the stroller in line. After about ten minutes, there was only one customer in front of them.

"Wait a minute..." Maria whispered to Lauren with a chuckle, "Is that Mr. Wilson?"

Lauren's eyes widened as she looked up in terror. Sure enough, she indeed recognized the man playing this year's Santa as Mr. Wilson!

Mr. Wilson was Maria and Lauren's old science teacher in high school. And to make matters more humiliating for the little woman at this moment, he was also her current Biology teacher at her college! And if he even came close to recognizing her...

"Next!" One of the assistants dressed as elves called out, snapping Lauren out of her thoughts. To the little woman's horror, she saw that the two other customers came and went, meaning that she was next.

Lauren froze and turned neon red as Maria pushed the stroller forward, only stopping to take Lauren out of the stroller and carry her before sitting her down on "Santa's" lap...
