Someone wakes up near the holding cells

I saw a bright light, I was always sure those stories of a bright light at the end were just bullshit, but I couldn't argue with what I saw now. The only thing convincing me I was wrong was Lydia saying I'm awake so I can stop pretending. "I don't have time to play doctor patient with you again, Adam." She said as I sat up, looking around me as others came to as well. "Congratulations by the way, you fought Batman apparently, and managed to somehow hold him off for almost ten seconds, I don't think anyone in the GCPD can break your record." Lydia helped me up.

My back and head hurt, although nothing was broken. "So now Batman breaks into the GCPD, incapacitates a huge chunk of Gotham's police ****, and frees a known murderer and vigilante. And we're still going to call that freak a hero? Here" she gave me a bottle of water. We sat there for a few moments, heard how the rest are getting up. In the distance Sonia's voice could be heard yelling at someone, but the context of her yelling, it seemed she was shouting at the commissioner. The woman was like fearsome tigress.

I took out my phone to check the time, my watch was busted, I saw it was only six am, I also saw seventeen missed calls from my sister, few text messages, the last made me jump and rush through the door.

it read: "For fuck sake pick up.. Stephanie is in the hospital, get your ass here."
