Someone very different

The last thing he was expecting was to see a man. Well, an incubus, most likely. "I'm not interested," Ark said upon seeing the red-skinned man on his couch.

"Quite right," the man stood up. "But it's not you that I'm interested in: it's that cute wife of yours."

"Well, unfortunately for you, she's being held captive by your queen. And I doubt she'd be too interested in you." Ark huffed in reply. If this guy was trying to provoke him, he'd have to work harder.

The incubus clicked his tongue, "I've been given special permission to play with her. Of course, there are some conditions for it."

He didn't like the sound of that. He thought of cutting this guy down where he stood, not he didn't have a good read on his abilities.

"I'm known as the Expert Seducer. I was given the opportunity to play a game with you. If you accept my game and win, we'll release your wife and you walk free. If you lose, your beloved is mine." The incubus's smirk unnerved Ark.

"That sounds too good to be true." The hero replied.

"Really, it is a losing game for you. Your wife would need to fight my charms and win. The odds are stacked against her. Your paltry love couldn't hope to compare to what I can give her." He licked his lips at the thought of her.

"Oh? And what's that?" Ark tightened his grip on his sword.

"Oh, you'll see if you play my game. Of course, that's just as good as giving your wife to me. You can walk right on by me if you wish, or you could take the very slim chance of her success to earn both of your freedoms." He held his hands up and shrugged his shoulders.

"She might not be free, but I know I am. The only thing keeping me here is her." He hated that the longer this went on, the more appealing the offer was. He knew that deals with devils never went well, but he trusted Kylie. She wouldn't fall to some simple tricks... right?
