Chapter 30 by SpiralFelix SpiralFelix

Does Marianne (or anyone else) answer? Or is Mackenzie still in a bit of a predicament?

Someone eventually answers, but Mackenzie's problems are far from over

As one minute grew to two, Mackenzie slowly began to grow worried. There had been no answer to any of her buzzing so far. She shivered in the cool night air, wondering if maybe Marianne was out somewhere? But that was unlike her... She was usually home on Sunday nights, and probably would already be winding down for bed soon at this hour. And even if she was asleep, Mackenzie knew that the sound of the front door buzzer was loud enough to wake her longtime friend up. She kept trying the button, a nagging feeling growing at the back of her mind.

Just as she was starting to feel a bit ****, the apartment building's door opened. Mackenzie was thrilled for a split second, before she realized it was a different tenant in the building. A middle-aged woman with black hair had opened the door, and she apparently hadn't been expecting a stranger to be hovering just outside it. Let alone a stranger wearing only a towel!

"Oh!" she started in surprise. "Goodness, excuse me."

"Oh, sorry!" Mackenzie tried to console as the woman took a hesitant step back. "I was just trying to buzz my friend to let me in. Marianne Watterson. Do you know her? She lives in apartment 4."

"Oh," the woman said, collecting herself a bit. "Oh yes, of course! Marianne, that nice girl down the hall. Of course I know her."

"That's her," Mackenzie chuckled nervously. "Do you, uh, think you could let me inside? I really need to see her."

"I suppose I could let you in. You certainly seem like you could use a hand! But..." the middle-aged woman trailed off in thought. "Didn't she and her boyfriend leave already? On that trip of theirs?"

"Trip?" Mackenzie asked. "What tr-"

But then the redhead remembered. Marianne and her boyfriend had been planning a trip next week! They were both flying down to Florida for a long awaited vacation! Mackenzie tried to recall her last few texts with Marianne several days earlier. She had said that their flight left Sunday morning. And that was...

"Today..." Mackenzie muttered to herself. "Their flight was scheduled to leave today! Oh no, no, no!"

"I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news," the woman said as she walked past the panicking redhead. "But hopefully you can hear all about their trip when they come back next week."

Mackenzie barely registered the stranger's words as the woman closed the door behind her. What was she supposed to do now?! There was no way she could wait a full week to get back into her home! ...Was there? Samantha had offered to let her stay at her place as long as she needed, after all...

"Best of luck to you," the woman called as she departed towards the small nearby parking lot.

"Th-thanks," Mackenzie muttered, now feeling more than a little hopeless about her situation.

She sighed, not knowing what to do. But the towel-clad woman gave a small smile when she remembered that she still had Samantha waiting nearby in a car for her. Mackenzie might not have been sure what to do about her predicament, but she was at least sure about what her next move would be. Regrouping with her girlfriend.

She stepped away from the apartment building, only to feel towel ripped away from her body. Mackenzie gasped at having been suddenly rendered naked and whirled around to see the fluffy white fabric caught in the now closed and locked door. She tried to tug it free, but found that the towel was quite securely trapped.

"SON OF A-"

Samantha heard the sound of the passenger door opening and closing beside her. Mackenzie had taken a while to return, which Samantha had assumed meant she made it into the building with no problems and had likely retrieved the key from her friend.

"How'd it go?" she said, glancing up from her phone. "You get the k-"

But she trailed off as she noticed her new girlfriend sitting next to her quite naked yet again.

"Not so good," Mackenzie fumed, clutching an arm over her chest and a hand over her pussy. "I forgot that Marianne was going out of town for a week, so the key is a no-go."

"...Aaaaand?" Samantha chuckled as she pointedly looked the nude woman up and down.

"And I lost my towel," Mackenzie mumbled with a deep blush. "Can we just go back to your place? Please?"

"Aww, you sure you don't want to go out to dinner like that?" Samantha teased as she started the car back up.

Mackenzie tried to scowl in response, but her obvious embarrassment undercut the expression quite a bit.

"Relax, only kidding, Mack," Samantha giggled. "Next stop, home sweet home!"

Where to next? Do they make it back to Samantha's place without any issues?
