Somehow it's even worse

"The two of clubs!" Johnny calls. "And the three of spades."

Amy's heart flutters with hope as two softballs are dealt out as her remaining two cards. She can breathe again, the heartbeat pounding away in her ears becomes a bit less intense, and the fog of panic ebbs slightly.

...That is, until the realization of what this set of four cards really means begins to dawn on her.

"Rebecca Pond's cards are... the 5 of hearts... The Jack of clubs..." Johnny continues, as Steph continues to hand him cards.

But Amy's thoughts are elsewhere as she stares at her four options. And the dread and despair quickly begins to creep back in.

She has been offered two incredibly high cards, and two that are absolute trash. The only options are to either go really big, and commit to whatever horrible, **** contracts await her with the queens, and probably (but not even definitely) win the strip poker, or she can go small, commit to much less harsh (but probably still humiliating) contracts, and in all likelihood come last in the first round of the strip poker, and permanently lose TWO items of clothing until she's 30 years old.

Johnny is still announcing more cards. "...The ten of spades... and the Five of diamonds."

A ten! Even a five! Amy would LOVE to have even a single more middle-of-the-road option like a ten or a five. But, no, cruel fate has left her standing at a cruel crossroads, where both options seem completely unpalatable. Lesser of two evils? More like lesser of two nightmares!

"Cindy Kramer's cards are... the 2 of hearts... The Jack of diamonds... The 9 of clubs... Oh ho ho ho, and the Ace of clubs." Johnny announces that final card in a much more epic and grandiose voice. Those in the audience who are aware that the rumors surrounding aces are particularly ****, all buzz with excitement.

Cindy's facial expression remains fierce and stoic.

Amy has much bigger things to worry about than the fact that this woman has been offered an ace she obviously won't earn. She's thinking about what two items of clothing she would choose to never wear again out of outfits, bra, and panties, if she lost two items of clothing. Obviously the bra would have to go - living in only a bra and no panties made no sense. But it wasn't so straightforward to choose between spending your life in panties and spending your life in outfits. The rules for what outfits you could wear if you lose both your bras and panties in this game were extremely strict, as they had seen just a few hours ago when they met Tilly. White single piece swimsuits with ludicrous high waists, tight cameltoe crotches, fully exposed buttocks and partially visible areolae... That's no way to live. And meanwhile, it is completely legal to go out in public topless in 2064. So, as long as she could stomach and get used to her tits being on full display, she could wear normal panties, or even boxer shorts. That could perhaps be preferable to wearing a partially see-through swimsuit with a tight cameltoe for the next decade...

"Deborah Kondo's cards are...the two of diamonds, the king of hearts, the six of diamonds and the six of clubs! Another opportunity for a pair!" Johnny announces.

"Ooooh, nooooo, six is too high!" The half-Japanese girl whines in a cute, high-pitched voice, touching her cheeks delicately with her hands and wiggling her butt in panic.

Is she not taking this seriously, or something?! Amy thinks to herself. No, wait, am I not taking this seriously?! Was I really just already deciding to take the low cards and doom myself to a decade of nudity?! NO! I haven't even found out what the queen contracts are yet! I need to push forward... I need to do this... If not for me, then for her!

Amy makes eye contact with Becky, who looks back at her with grim determination in her eyes. They both nod, making an unspoken agreement to do their best to win all the money between them.

"Okay players!" Jennifer is speaking into the microphone again. "You will now be given the details on which student is each of your cards' custodian, and a place and time that you'll be able to find them each day. You have one week to earn two cards by signing contracts with two of your four custodians. Exactly one week from now, we'll return here, deal the three card flop from the cards remaining in this deck, and find out which of you can make the best poker hands with those three community cards your two earned cards. Two of you will become significantly richer, and two of you will become significantly lighter clothed, hahaha. Let the highest stakes strip poker game of all time, begin!"
