There are 2 ways to produce new symbiotes for those new timelines:

The symbiote or the host consuming biomass: bones, Meat, food, etc

A male and a female hosts having sex, it depends if the hosts the amount of symbiote that is gonna be produced but this is the most efficient way.

The symbiote can infect the hosts by some ways, usually the symbiote likes to see his preys resisting for some time until he break their minds but if the symbiote think that the host is too strong he can approach and invade the brain directly by mouth, nose, ears and eyes(the symbiote can't infect what is not alive).

The hosts have a hive mind that is shared only on that universe, for communicate with other universes using the hive mind they first need to open a dimensional portal using the hosts sex energy.

The symbiote mix his own mind on the host mind, making a mix of their minds but tottaly loyal to the symbiote, in some cases the host mind can't handle the symbiote mind so the symbiote smash the host's mind, on that host's isn't a mix like on the other ones it's only the symbiote.

The symbiote is genderless but it had developed a sense that the most efficient way of infect strong mans was infecting womans first, this way they could seduce them much easier.

Each universe had mutated the symbiote giving him one extra hability like produce pheromones, change the host's appearance, absorv the hosts, teleport, etc.
