Some practice kissing
Chloe sat nestled between the two men on the couch, her cheeks still burning from Ethan’s latest round of teasing. The afternoon sun filtered through the blinds, casting a warm glow over the living room. Josh’s arm remained draped casually around her shoulders, his fingers tracing lazy circles on her bare skin where the yellow tank top met her arm. Ethan lounged in the armchair across from them, beer in hand, that signature mischievous grin never fading.
“Seriously though,” Ethan continued, leaning forward, “if you’re gonna sell this fake girlfriend thing to Aaron’s buddies, you can’t just show up looking all sweet and innocent. You gotta commit. A little touch here, a little flirt there. Otherwise, no one’s buying it.”
Chloe shifted uncomfortably, her toned legs pressing together in her distressed denim shorts. She could feel the heat rising in her chest. “I know how to act normal around guys,” she protested softly, though her voice lacked conviction. Her long blonde hair fell over one shoulder as she glanced at Josh for support.
Josh chuckled, that easy, affectionate laugh that always made her feel safe. “Babe, you’re the sweetest person alive, but Ethan’s got a point. Remember how awkward you got just telling me about it? If you freeze up in front of people, the whole thing falls apart.” His hand slid a little lower on her back, thumb brushing the curve of her spine. “We should probably help you practice.”
Ethan’s eyes lit up. “Practice? Hell yes. Consider us your personal trainers for Operation Fake Date.” He set his beer down and clapped his hands together. “Start simple. How would you greet Aaron if his friends are watching? Big smile? Hug?”
Chloe laughed nervously, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. “A hug, I guess. Nothing crazy.”
“Show us,” Josh encouraged gently, his voice warm. He gave her a little nudge.
She stood up reluctantly, feeling both sets of eyes on her body—the way the tank top hugged her breasts and the shorts accentuated her curves. First, she hugged Josh, pressing against his athletic frame. He held her close for a moment longer than necessary, his hand resting just above her waist. When she pulled back, her face was flushed.
“Decent,” Ethan critiqued, standing up now. “But make it more couple-y. Like you actually like the guy.”
Chloe hesitated, then stepped toward Ethan. He opened his arms, and she leaned in, wrapping hers around his neck. His body felt different—leaner, more wiry than Josh’s solid build. She caught a hint of his cologne, something spicy and teasing, just like him. As she started to pull away, Ethan’s hands lingered on her hips.
“Not bad,” he murmured, “but you’re still stiff. Relax into it.”
Josh watched with an amused smile. “Yeah, babe. Pretend he’s your man for a second. Sell it.”
The teasing escalated slowly, layer by layer. They made her repeat the hug a few times, each one growing a fraction more natural. Chloe’s embarrassment began mixing with something warmer, a flutter low in her belly. Being the center of their attention, both men focused entirely on her, felt strangely intoxicating.
“Alright, next level,” Ethan said, sitting back down but patting the couch between them. Chloe settled in again, acutely aware of their proximity. Josh’s thigh pressed against her left side, Ethan’s against her right.
“What about holding hands?” Josh suggested. He took her right hand, interlacing their fingers. Ethan took her left, his grip playful and firm. They held her like that for a moment, thumbs stroking her skin. Chloe’s breath caught slightly.
“See? Not so bad,” Ethan teased. “Now, if Aaron’s friends are really watching, you might need something more convincing. A kiss on the cheek? Or…”
Chloe’s heart skipped. “A kiss?”
Josh nodded, his eyes sparkling with that good-guy mischief. “Just to demonstrate. Nothing wild. Show us how you’d do it.”
The room felt smaller, the air thicker. Chloe’s pulse quickened. She turned toward Ethan first, leaning in shyly and pressing a quick, soft kiss to his cheek. His stubble brushed her lips. She did the same to Josh, who turned his head at the last second so their lips met briefly instead.
“Hey, that’s cheating,” Ethan laughed. “Full demonstration, Chloe. Pretend I’m Aaron and Josh is judging how believable it is.”
Josh’s hand rested on her knee now, squeezing gently. “Go on, babe. Kiss Ethan. Make it look real. For practice.”
Chloe bit her lip, her blue eyes wide with a mix of nerves and budding excitement. She was naïve in so many ways, but the way both men were looking at her—encouraging, hungry, loving—made her want to please them. Slowly, she turned to Ethan. He waited patiently, that grin softening into something more intense.
Leaning in, Chloe pressed her lips to his. It started soft and tentative, just a demonstration. But Ethan didn’t pull away immediately. His mouth moved against hers, gentle at first, then with a hint more pressure. Chloe’s eyes fluttered closed. A small sound escaped her throat.
When she finally broke the kiss, her cheeks were scarlet. Josh was watching closely, his hand still on her knee, now sliding a little higher up her thigh.
“Not bad,” Josh said, his voice a touch lower. “But you can do better. Try again. Really sell it this time.”
Ethan raised an eyebrow. “Listen to your man, Chloe. Practice makes perfect.”
The teasing had fully escalated. Chloe kissed Ethan again, slower this time. His hand came up to cup her jaw lightly. Josh leaned in from behind, kissing the side of her neck, his breath hot against her skin. “That’s it,” he whispered. “Good girl.”
Chloe shivered at the dual sensations—Ethan’s lips on hers, Josh’s mouth on her neck. Her body responded despite her lingering shyness, a warmth spreading through her core. When the second kiss broke, she was breathing heavier, her breasts rising and falling noticeably beneath the yellow tank top.
“See what I mean?” Ethan said, voice husky now. “You’re a natural. But we should cover all the bases. What if Aaron tries to deepen it?”
Josh nodded in agreement, his hand now stroking the inside of her thigh. “Demonstrate one more time, babe. Let Ethan show you how it might go. I want to watch.”
Chloe glanced between them, heart hammering. This was no longer just about Aaron. The line between practice and something more had blurred. She nodded shyly.
Ethan pulled her closer this time, their bodies pressing together on the couch. The kiss started slow and exploratory, his tongue gently teasing her lips. Chloe opened to him, her hand resting on his chest. Josh watched for a long moment, then moved in, kissing her shoulder, then her other cheek, before turning her face gently toward him for his own deep kiss.
The room filled with soft sounds—breathing, lips meeting, fabric shifting. Chloe was caught between them, her naïve sweetness giving way to growing desire. Ethan’s hand slid along her side, brushing the curve of her breast through her top. Josh’s fingers traced higher under the hem of her shorts.
“You’re doing so well,” Josh murmured against her mouth. “Keep practicing.”
What began as teasing escalation had become something electric. Chloe’s hands moved of their own accord, one on each man’s thigh. The three of them shifted closer on the couch, bodies aligning. Ethan kissed her again while Josh’s mouth found her neck once more, sucking lightly.
