Chapter 10 by SassySquatch

What's next?

Some of her things are gone?

A few days later you come home to find some of her things missing. Not all of it, but enough that it was noticeable. Just as you started to question it though, Samantha walked in the front door behind you, carrying even more boxes. “Oh John, you’re already home! Great, now you can help me pack!” She said as she handed you a box.

“Pack? Are we going somewhere?” You ask questioningly as you grab the box from her outstretched hand and follow her up to the bedroom. Along the way, you notice more and more of her things now missing from the house.

“Not WE silly, just me. Markus (your bully) told me it’d be easier for him if I could just stay there more often, so I’m moving some of my things so I can stay between both houses” she said with a happy smile as if nothing about this was out of the norm at all.

“What!? So you’re not going to be living here anymore? Are you leaving me for him!?” You stammer through a broken voice as you both reach the bedroom and put the boxes on the bed. “Oh don’t be silly honey, I would never leave you! This is just to save time on commuting. You’ll still see me around here half the time!” She said as she turned back to the boxes. Although you wanted to believe her, you weren’t sure that last sentence was going to be true.

After a few minutes of packing it became clear that all she had left to come back for was her essentials. Some underwear, lingerie, clothes, linen, toothbrush, that sort of thing. However as you were packing a hot pink jumper into the box she game you, she turned the corner and almost crushed you. Standing there in the doorway she was carrying her wedding dress, along with the wedding lingerie to go with it.

“What are you doing with that? Surely you’re not taking it with you?” You asked bewildered. “Yeah of course! Marcus told me to make sure I bring it, something about getting good pictures. Anyway it’s not a big deal.” She said bluntly as she carefully laid it on top her finished box and got ready to leave. Deep inside yourself, you couldn’t but help feel that you were starting to loose her for good.

Who’s messaging you later that night?
