Upon further reflection, you suppose it does make a degree of sense. Qadib's shop is on the edge of Beaurette Street, bordering the area of Coxley which is mostly Eastern European and British. If his shop entertains both Westerners and Muslims, it makes sense to dress appropriately and make all feel welcome. It's just good business sense, right?
You slide yourself into some jeans, again needing to jump and jiggle until they fit around your waist. Inshallah, one day I will find clothes that fit me properly.
