Some fresh clothes

While she ate, Sir Lennis returned with a bundle of fabric. He set it down in front of her, his expression unreadable. "This should suffice," he said, his eyes flicking down to her chest before quickly looking away. "For now."

The fabric was soft and flowing, a stark contrast to the tight, restrictive dress she had been wearing. It was a simple shift, but it would cover her enough to not cause a scene in the town. Lauren felt a flash of disappointment—she had hoped for something more substantial, something that wouldn't reveal quite so much of her flawed body. But she knew she had to make do.

With as much dignity as she could muster, Lauren made her way to the back of the inn, where the innkeeper had directed her to a small, private room. She slipped off the ruined dress and underwear, feeling the cool air kiss her skin. The shift was a welcome relief, sliding over her curves like a whispered promise of comfort.

But when she looked in the mirror, she couldn't help but feel a twinge of sadness. The fabric clung to her in all the wrong places, highlighting her lack of curves where she needed them most. Her breasts looked even smaller without the padding, and her stomach was a soft roll of flesh that she could never quite hide. She did not look like the same girl who'd arrived here a week ago, the prim and proper debutante!

Determined not to let it get to her, she took a deep breath and turned to leave the room. As she stepped into the hallway, she heard the sound of laughter coming from the tavern. The door was open a crack, and she couldn't help but peek inside, and see the tavern patrons all laughing.

"She's the chosen princess?!" One exclaimed. "She looks like the softest babe I've ever seen!"

"She's little more than a child!" Pointed out one of the bar maidens. "With her flat chest, and she has no hair down there!"

"She doesn't have the butt of a child!" Laughed an old farmer. "Her backside is bigger than that of my largest cow!"

Courtney felt the humiliation wash over her in waves. Her pride stung and she clenched her fists, fighting the urge to storm in and give them a piece of her mind. But she knew that would only make it worse. Instead, she took a deep breath and focused on the mission at hand. She was here to save the realm, not to win a beauty contest.
