So many doors

Shailene found herself in front of ten doors with a number on top of each, apparently random. They were all open and she could see Callum in the fourth one from her left with the number three above it. Then the door closed and the numbers above them changed.

"So, where do you think is your husband ?" Asked the man.

Shailene spotted the number three and chose it. But as the door opened, she could see that it wasn't him.

"Too bad, that's not the right door." Mocked the man, which pissed off Shailene.

Again, the numbers changed and this time there wasn't even a three. So Shailene chose the fourth door from her left. And again, no Callum.

"Nope, still not the right one."

Shailene was missing something, what was it ? It must be in accordance to the number, but what was it ? She couldn't make any mistake from now. But she was lost, the numbers didn't make any sense. So she chose at random and obviously, no Callum.

"Again, that's not the right door." Said the man "Now, lets see what is your penalty."

On the side of the room, a screen showed several sentence passing on the screen at high speed, until it stopped at "one clothe less"

"Oooh, an easy one." Said the man.

Shailene felt suddenly the air on her breasts and noticed that her dress had disappeared.

"What ? How ?" She shouted.

And again the numbers changed, and Shailene was so lost on what was the logic. Was she that dumb ? She ended up choosing at random, again. Still no Callum. And she got "dumber" on the screen.

"What ??" She shouted.

"Hey ! I'm not stupid okay ? And what dumber means ? Am I supposed to be, like, less smart ?"

Shailene noticed how difficult it was for her to find complex or long words, but she refused to believe she had become that dumb. To her it was just a placebo effect.

"What's two hundred and fifty-six minus one hundred and twenty-eight ?"

Satisfied by his proof, the man continued the game with a smile.
