Sneak out

You take a few moments to listen for any revealing noises within the house. Satisfied, that everything is still within the house, you quietly get out of bed and exit your room.

Out in the darkened hallway, everything is eerily silent. As your eyes adjust to the darkness you suddenly hear a faint snoring coming from the door across yours.

It sounds like the old farmer is fast asleep.
