Sneak around

I decided to leave the abandoned building in a stealthy way. Well, at least I tried to. I tripped over a barrel but I think that didn’t do much. The entire place looked like it was designed to be like a empty city. Although, it really wasn’t empty. You could see broken cars and little empty shops. As much as I wanted to grab a car and get out of here, I didn’t know how to hot wire one. I’m also very sure that they were probably just some sort of large prop and not an actual car. Clothing stores were locked too. I tried to break into one, but I was ultimately unsuccessful. Either I was too weak to break into a building or these were break in proof stores. I decided to keep sneaking around

After a hour of sneaking around this abandoned city naked, I heard a noise coming from somewhere. The sound was like someone scratching or digging the ground. I tried to hear where it’s coming from, and it lead into an alleyway. Should I keep going deeper into it or should I try to keep going around the city?
