Smackdown premiere on FOX

October 4th, 2019 - Los Angeles California - Smackdown

Smackdown is live from the Staples Center for the FOX premiere. After a brief word from Vince and Stephanie McMahon, the new intro plays and then the show opens with Raw Women’s Champion ‘the Man’ Becky Lynch. Lynch is quick to credit Smackdown as the launching pad for her success but she is soon interrupted by 2019 King of the Ring Winner Baron Corbin who comes down to the ring in his crown and fur cape. But before anything can happen between Lynch and Corbin they’re interrupted by the return of Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson. The Man and the Great One then proceeded to lay a verbal beat down on Corbin which was quickly followed by a physical one which culminated with a leg drop from Lynch, a People’s Elbow from the Rock, and a combination of kicks from Lynch that sent Corbin right into a Rock Bottom.

The Rock’s music is still playing out in the arena as the cameras go backstage and show the women’s locker room. The door opens and Sarah Logan walks out carrying a steel chair. Logan is dressed in her ring gear and this week the paint going across her eye is blood red and has a more violent edge to it that makes it look every bit like the Viking war paint it’s supposed to be. Sarah’s expression is one of barely restrained fury as she unfolds the chair and plants it in front of the locker room door before sitting down heavily in it.

Cathy Kelley nervously approaches the visibly angry woman. “Sarah, after what happened last week… are you still going to pursue the 24/7 Championship?”

There’s no need for a recap. Word of the controversial ‘exposures’ that had taken place on Monday’s Raw has spread like wildfire. Everyone with an internet connection has likely seen footage of what happened to Sarah Logan and Carmella during the final hour of the Raw broadcast.

Logan grabs the backstage correspondent’s arm and yanks her and the microphone she’s holding closer to her. “I don’t care about that title anymore. I want Carmella. So I’m gonna sit right here until she finally decides to show up. And when she does… I’m gonna beat the crap outta her.”

Cathy Kelley, to her immense credit, attempts to keep the interview going. “I don’t know if you’ve seen the footage of what happened to Carmella when she ran into Nikki Cross. But most people are saying that she got off a lot worse than you did. No one saw her on the blue carpet earlier tonight. Do you think Carmella is even going to show up?”

“She hasn’t shown up… but I did,” Sarah replies. She pauses to let the weight of the statement sink in. Despite having her pussy exposed on television and being viciously ridiculed online about her ‘grooming habits’, Sarah still showed up to Smackdown.

“But that’s just the thing,” Sarah continues, “I show up every week because this job is my life. And every week I get told ‘Sorry, Sarah, we don’t have anything for you’. Sometimes, if I’m lucky, they’ll toss me the occasional match on Main Event. But most of the time, I wind up spending the show camped out in catering. On Monday, I was trying to change all that by winning the 24/7 Championship. And yeah, I jumped Carmella in the locker room. What was I supposed to do? She spent the whole night hiding.”

Logan turns and glares at Cathy. “Some people say that Carmella got off worse than I did on Monday. Well, I say she hasn’t suffered enough. Not by a long shot. Not ‘til I get my hands on her. So since I’ve got nothing else to do, I’m gonna sit right here tonight and every other night until Carmella finally decides to stop hiding and shows up for work. And when she finally does… I’m gonna beat. her. down.”

Sarah shoves Cathy and the microphone away from her then folds her arms across her chest and scowls at the camera. “Now walk away.”

Cathy Kelley backs away while the camera turns away and shows Sasha Banks talking with Smackdown Women’s Champion Bayley. They’re likely discussing their upcoming tag team match against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.

The feed goes back out to Michael Cole and Corey Graves at ringside and they inform everyone the tag team match between the Four Horsewomen is up next. They then proceed to hype the show’s other matches before they go to commercial break.

When the show returns from the break, Becky Lynch’s music is playing in the background. But instead of going out to the ring, the cameras show Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross being led into a VIP Box by security.

Bliss and Cross are both still wearing their dresses from the Smackdown Blue Carpet. Alexa’s dress is a cute gray number that goes down to mid-thigh. The thin shoulder straps are hidden beneath the two championship belts that she’s wearing on her shoulders. But what really draws the eye is the dress’ deep v-cut that goes down below her chest and displays a generous view of her cleavage.

Walking a step behind her, Nikki Cross looks almost normal and is wearing a tight, figure-hugging black dress that goes up to get collar and nearly down to her knees. The very top of the black dress has a mesh like window that provides a view of her black bra and the breasts it contains. It says wonders for the influence that Bliss has over her partner that the Psychotic Scot looks so normal.

Both women’s legs are bare and they’re each wearing black heels on their feet. Nikki’s are plain and simple while Alexa’s are a bit fancier with a strap going around her ankles and a boosted heel that makes the short women look a little bit taller.

The Women’s Tag Team Champions are carrying three titles between them. Nikki has her Tsg Team Title while Alexa has both her Tag Title and the 24/7 Championship that she still claims she’s holding for her partner.

The door is closed and the duo is left alone in the VIP Box aside from the camera that’s filming them from the corner. Nikki Cross is glancing around wildly and despite her tight dress looks highly out of place in the VIP Box.

“Nice digs,” Nikki remarks as looks wildly around the fancy room. “This is way fancier than I’m used to…”

“You’re moving up in the world,” Alexa tells her. “This is the type of treatment you get when you travel with the Goddess of WWE. A Goddess doesn’t mingle with common mortals. And now we don’t have to worry about anyone jumping you for the 24/7 Championship while we’re safe in here with the door locked. No one’s getting in unless we let them.”

Bliss slides closer to Nikki on the couch and pulls out her phone, “Come on, let’s take a quick video…” Alexa plasters a big, wide smile on her face and is now leaning on Nikki so she can fit them both in the shot. “Here we are for the Fox premiere of Smackdown. We’re sitting in style and are ready for the first match of the night to get underway. But let’s be real here… The Boss and Hug Connection, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair… neither of those teams are half as good as us. And if you need any proof of that take a look a these.” Bliss reaches around Nikki with her free arm and pats the Tag Title on her shoulder. “There might be a Women’s Champion and a former Women’s Champion on each of those teams but we are the 24/7 Champion Nikki Cross and the Goddess Alexa Bliss and WE are the reigning Women’s Tag Team Champions and that means we’re currently the best women’s tag team in the WWE!”

Nikki is BLISSfully unaware of the boldfaced lie in her devious little partner’s selfie promo.

“By the way, Bliss, can I have my phone back?” Nikki asks. “Woods told me on that my episode of Superstar Savepoint is up on YouTube. I haven’t gotten t’ see it yet cuz you’ve been holdin’ onto it all week.”

Alexa shakes her head, “I’ve already told you a dozen times now, Nikki, everyone’s saying some really horrible things about how you won the 24/7 Title from Carmella. I’m used to getting heat from the WWE Universe. I don’t want you to have to deal with it too. It’s the same reason why I carry around the title belt for you and the same reason I reserved this VIP Box so that no can jump you during the show. I’m looking out for you, champ.”

“Right, right, yeah,” Nikki says. “Thanks for always lookin’ out for me, Bliss.” Cross spring back up and looks around the room. “Oi, is there anythin’ t’ eat in here?”

“I don’t know,” Alexa replies without bothering to look as her attention is now on her phone. “Have a look around. You can eat whatever you find.”

Michael Cole speaks up as the cameras go back to ringside. “We should probably point out that Nikki Cross is actually no longer the 24/7 Champion. Alexa Bliss posted a view of herself pinning her partner while she was sleeping to win the title. I think the real reason Alexa’s holding onto Nikki’s phone is to keep her partner from finding out.”

“How dare you, Cole,” Graves scolds his senior partner. “It’s our first night on a new network and you’re already coming up with conspiracy theories. Everyone knows that all’s fair in love and the 24/7 Championship.”

“Funny you mention that, Corey,” Cole replies, “I’ve been meaning to get your take on all those controversial title changes that took place during the final hour of Raw.”

“No comment,” is Corey’s clipped and uncharacteristically tightlipped response. Perhaps it stems from his not-so-secret relationship with Carmella who was at the center of all three of Monday’s controversial title changes. “Hey, look who’s here at ringside… is Trish and Lita.”

Corey’s change of subject works as the camera cut to show WWE Hall of Famers and former Women’s Champions Trish Stratus and Lita who are sitting at ringside with Maria Menounos. Meanwhile, Becky Lynch is still in the ring and is awaiting her partner and her opponents. Charlotte Flair’s music plays and the Queen makes her entrance as the night’s opening contest is set to get underway.
