Slip out. (Requires Str 3 and Dex 3)

Normally Athena’s submission holds are nigh unbreakable, but Aphrodite’s little idea to spice up the match has changed things a little bit. You relax your body and wait for the opportune moment.

As Athena forces your arm up again, you brace against one of her feet with your free hand and push with all your might while trying to roll away. Even that combination of forces wouldn’t be enough to get out of this hold on any other day, but the oil weakens Athena’s grip just enough for your arm to slide out from between her hands and legs.

You quickly scramble back and stand up, shaking the pain out of your arm and shoulder, and she’s just as quick to rise. You’d hoped to get under her skin by escaping one of her holds, but she seems to have taken it pretty well in stride, and her face remains calm as the two of you stand in your corners.

Oh well, can’t win them all.
