Slaying a dragon, part 1.

Kazuma, Megumin and Aqua all dove behind a rock as the dragon flew at them, breathing ice at them, which the rock thankfully took. "...long shot Megumin, but do you think you could hit that thing with your Explosion?" Kazuma asked her.

"Not likey," she shook her head. "It's flying around too fast, odds are I'd only hit air. "I'd need a very lucky shot, and you're the one with all the luck!"

"We're gonna diiiieeee!" Aqua sobbed.

"Shut up Aqua, I need to think!" Kazuma snapped his mind racing... Before he remembered Aqua's failed lottery scheme. "Wait a minute... "Lucky" shot?" Megumin blinked and looked at Kazuma incredulously. "Aqua, spam Blessing on Megumin, now!" Kazuma shouted.

Aqua blinked, snapping out of her terror, before it clicked what Kazuma was getting at. "R-right!" she stammered out, before casting the spell repeatedly on Megumin. "There, that's as much as I can boost her luck, now make her take the shot!" Aqua pleaded.

Megumin nodded and peeked up around the boulder, where the dragon was circling, looking for targets. Some of that luck kicked in when Cremea shouted, "Come down and fight me, you big, beautiful beast!"

Kazuma blinked at this. "Big beautiful beast?" He would have to address that later, but he had the sinking feeling that Cremea as not as sane as he had initially thought. 'Just PLEASE don't be a **** fetish!' he thought pleadingly. (Don't worry, it's not, lol. She just really likes dragons.) Still, it got the dragon's attention, minimizing the chance it would dodge. "It's now or never Megumin!" he urged.

Megumin nodded, quickly going through the incantation, and fired off the spell. KABOOM! "GRAAAAAAHHH!!!" the dragon roared as the spell impacted it right in its right wing joint, mangling its right wing and shoulder. It flapped frantically with its one good wing, trying desperately to stay in the air, veering off course and crashing through a large rock formation, and hitting the ground.

"Hell yeah! That actually worked!" Kazuma whooped as he and Aqua ditched Megumin for now, seeing as she was safest where she currently was, and ran towards where the dragon had crash landed.

"You better not have killed it yet!" Cremea shouted as she, Fio and Darkness joined them in the rush.
