Skirmishes

The life of a beautiful fighter is one defined by combat and so they are expected to take a day out of their busy schedule of fighting monsters and Breeding, to fight each other as well in skirmishes, also known as preliminary fights. The arrangement of these skirmishes are left up to the participants; unlike the main fights in Gainos, anyone could freely choose who to battle at this stage. The first reason for participants to fight frequently is to learn of each other's ability and to measure their own power, in preparation for the real fights. The second, less common, reason is to establish territory, repeated victories in close proximity to a crystal can result in said crystal respawning a beautiful fighter a lot faster. An 'unclaimed' crystal is white and takes 24 hours to respawn the fighter. An 'owned' crystal is the same colour scheme as the owners hair and armor.

It's no exaggeration to say that whenever two beautiful fighter meet, a fight would break out.
