She took a moment to recover and her boner to go down before dressing herself up again, it was nice to feel the jack closed again, she liked how snug it felt, made her feel fast too. She glanced back a final time at the mess she'd made before walking off in a random direction in the hopes of getting out of this moody place. It seemed she was in luck as the fog had mostly cleared, she could actually see a little further than before and soon the silhouette of a building emerged on the horizon, then a second and a third.. "Thank the gods" she whispered and her pace picked up.

The closer she got to the village the clearer it got. The sun was still up but it would soon start setting. She could see smoke coming from the chimneys and some of the homes had already lit their candles or were in the process of doing so. Her hope was that there would be a tavern or at least a home willing to let her stay the night. And some food too, she didn't have anything to pay them with so their hospitality would have to do.

Upon arrival, she could see it was a relatively small village if you could call it that. More like a settlement. It had 7 houses and a very small church or at least a building that would serve that purpose. There was a small stable with a single horse and some chickens. Other than that the well at its centre was about the only thing that would make it a 'village'.

The bigger building with the tiny bell and cross had lights in it. That would be odd for this time of day unless there was an evening sermon, but for a village this size that would be even rarer. A door swung open and a drunken figure was tossed out onto the street if you could call it that.. more like a dirt path that had seen a lot of foot traffic.

"Go sober up, you ain't fooling us with your cheating no matter how much you try, go back to the city and see how they like it there!" A man shouted, a short but stout dwarf by the looks of it. The figure that had been tossed out appeared to be a gnome. It stumbled back up onto it's feet and turned to face the dwarf who pointed in a direction "Go home! Or I'll kick your arse there m'self!" The gnome followed the finger and almost zombie-like wobbled in the general direction before tripping over its own feet. She could see the dwarf sigh and close the door behind him leaving the gnome to tumble and stumble towards a small shelter made from planks logs, twigs and dried grass by the looks of things. It was barely illuminated by the torch on the side of a house next to it.

The dwarf shook his head and headed back inside leaving the door to the building slightly ajar with a small streak of light illuminating the street. Niery decided to investigate. The dwarf said "us" which meant there were more people inside, and if that gnome got drunk there must be food to go with it.

Voices could be heard as she approached, loud laughter and cursing. She peaked inside and saw a table with a Dwarf, Elf, Human and Ogre sitting in a circle. The ogre was loudly protesting while the rest laughed. "Curses, cursed be all of you! You are all a bunch of cheating pricks I tell you, just like that puny dimwit!" He groaned, the rest of the party still amused at his theatrical performance.

"Nonsense Spiffy! We are just playing with you is all, look I'll show you!" The human, a bard by the looks of it shuffled a deck of cards. He then placed 3 cards out in front of the Barbaric Ogre, the look of a puzzled face already showing. "Now pick a card, anyone. Look at it but don't tell any of us what it is yet!"

The Ogre clumsily picked up a card flipping it over accidentally but quickly covering it up with his hand. He glanced at his compatriots who all showed a poker face of innocence, the dwarf barely holding his laughter.

"When you're ready place it back on the table!" The human continued. Once the card was placed he added 3 stacks of cards on top of each and picked them up before beginning his shuffle. Niery could see the human gently nudge the Elf with the tip of his shoe who pointed towards the door. "Look the Gnome is ba-" He stopped mid-sentence as he spotted Niery. "Oh my, what a lovely company do we have here lads!" All of them turned their heads towards the Fox peaking through the door.

"Oh! H~iii. I'm sorry for intruding but I was looking for some place to stay the night, I've been traveling quite far and I don't know where I am."
The human and elf exchanged a glance.

"Well then it would be rude for us to just shoo you away, wouldn't it? Come in and grab a seat!" Said the human. The dwarf wanted to make a protestful speech but was kicked in the shin by the elf.
"You are more than welcome, there is plenty of food and drink for all of us while we discuss your situation! Isn't she Ragníl?" The elf added.
The dwarf Ragníl mumbled something incoherent and nodded towards the table. "What'll it be lass?" Ragníl asked.

[Perception 5]
"Some water please". "A beer it is" Said Ragníl pouring her a pint. Meanwhile, the elf had swiftly moved and arranged a seat presenting it to the fox. "Take a seat please Mrs..." The elf asked. "Ms Niery." She replied taking a seat. The Ogre was clearly ogling her and she simply nodded and smiled but he didn't seem to notice or care.

"My name is David. So Niery, where did you come from?" Asked the man. "Silana, but I'm not sure if you know the place I was lost in the fog".

"I see, we occasionally go out there ourselves to seek out those who've walked astray. We are the fog watch, or at least that's what we call ourselves. We are to ensure nothing in there gets the idea to invade the city up ahaid and save any stranglers. It's good that you made it out of there. Lots of nasty things that will try to kill you or worse." . Niery held a poker face, she knew exactly what 'worse' meant.

[Perception 11]
"Ere you go lass" interrupted Ragníl from her side, she thanked him and noticed the orc was still eyeing her. The elf noticed to and punched him in the shoulder. "Manners Tondar! Oh, by the way, My name is Syl Fyn~" added the elf.

"Thank you, It's a pleasure to meet all of you. I'm Niery, and I'm glad to be out of that blasted swamp. At least now I have a chance to find a way back."

"Oh right, you mentioned you where from.. Silana correct? That's quite a detour if you go around the swamp. How come you got lost again?" Asked the Elf Syl Fyn.

[Deception 5+*5 from foxes cunning] -1 Stamina.
"Yes, I don't know really.. I went into the wild and passed out. Then I woke up somewhere in the swamp."

[Perception 17]
Niery can see the questioning look from the elf who exchanges another with the human. "Okay, well we can point you in the right direction come moring? Speaking off.. You need a place to stay right? You'll have to discuss that with Ragníl here he owns this place but you could also stay over at my place." Said David the human.

"Oi! Who said she could stay for free here laddy? Who's going to help me prepare her room and clean it up after eh? None of you I tells ya! You all still have to pay for all the beer I've got for ye!" The dwarf Ragníl rambled.

"Easy Ragníl! You know we always repay our depts on time. Who knows, maybe she does have something to compensate you with~!" Syl Fyn added causing the Orc to burst into a loud laughter. "I bet you like see tits!" Tondar blurted out.

"W-what? I.. I said I don't have anything on me other than my blade. B-but if you let me stay for flashing you..-"

The dwarf bursted into anger: "Nonsence! I have to earn a living, this blasted place is far worse tha-AUH! ... I'm afraid it'll have to be more than that m'lady, I have a tavern to maintain and these 3 here are all in debt to me you see. None of them have a dime to their name as of now, and as you can see this village doesn't have much in terms of entertainment."

_"I could do a striptease" _Niery ads with a sly smirk, quite amused at the idea of getting an easy deal for a roof over her head and some food in her stomach. Exposing herself is not a big deal to her and it's much better than sleeping out there in the open.

The bard proposes: "How about a little game, a wager if you will. We will play blackjack. We will play until all of us have busted and only one remains. If you lose (he glances at Niery) Ragníl will get to decide how you'll compensate for your stay. But if he loses he won't and has to let you stay. If any of us loose we will have to pay Ragníl for your accommodations but if one of us wins they'll get to have a little fun with you. Does that sound fair to everyone?"

There are some nods and grunts to agree and they all look at the Fox for her awnser. "Alright, but if I win you will all be at my mercy. You'll have to treat me like a princess and will escort me out of this place come morning."

[Perception 18] She can see a smirk on the bards lips. "Deal" David awnsers and begins to shuffle the deck of cards in his hands.
