Sits down and talks to the Headmaster

As she steps into the office she sees that there has been a major rejuvenation of the office over the summer. It has been completely redone in mahogany wood, it has more the look of a home office in an old mansion than it does a headmaster's office. There are also two couches, a coffee table in the middle of the room with a huge desk on the far side of the room. On the side, there is a small conference table with two chairs around it and on that same side, there are now huge floor-to-ceiling bookshelves.

As Julia takes in the room and says, “This is a really nice room, it has a much better feel to it than the previous headmaster.”

Headmaster Alexander smiles and says, “Thank you I wanted to bring a little bit of home with me to my new job.” As he motions for Julia to sit down.

“And where is home originally,” asks Julia.

Headmaster Alexander smiles and says, “The English Countryside.”

Julia should have guessed that based off of the accent but you can never be sure. “Oh, my sister moved to England for work a while back, where are you from in England?”

The Headmaster looks over at her and says I come from Richmond in Surrey. That is where my family is from and where I spent most of my childhood before leaving. and it's where I came back to when I took my job at Highbury Fields School.”

Julia has to admit he seemed to be much more impressive than the previous Headmaster that they had at the school who just seemed to pander to whatever the top parents wanted him to do and could not keep the school on track. “What did you do in between?”

He just looked at her and smiled and said, “I served in the British military for 20 years but that's all I can say.”

Julia looks at him nods again, and looks up and down his body thinking well he has not lost anything since then; no wonder he looks so damn fine and says, “So which is the worst Battlefield the military or a group of privileged rich kids.”

He just smiles and laughs. “I am not really sure if I am being honest with you, but honestly I think that it is this. Now I know you most likely have other things to do Miss Edwards so let's get straight to the point. I caught your daughter the other day having sexual relations with two boys in the bathroom. And when I looked in her file I see that she's been in troublemaker for the past year prior to that she was a perfect student, now I will grant you she still has perfect grades but her attitude in the past has really changed.”

Julia sighs and says, “Yes we've been trying to work on that but I really don't know what got into her.”

Headmaster Alexander looks at her and says, "Well if this happens again I'm going to have to expel her from the school we now have a zero-tolerance policy for students who behave like this.”

Damn Julia thinks to herself there has to be something that I can do about this Headmaster Alexander mistakes Julia's silence for something other than the confusion and thinks that it is and comes over and puts his hand on her lap and says, “I'm sure there's something we can work out so that we can turn Riley's behavior around so that she can get into a good University.”
