Sit there, and watch the disaster unfold

The three figures look to each other and then back to Yallah and Magallah.

"Should we start the bidding at say... 100 gold per slave?" Magallah excitedly asks.

Silence fills the room.

The sweat starts to bead on Magallah's head once more.

"T-too high?" The increasingly worried seller stammers as she produces a handkerchief to dab at her forehead. "F-fine..."

"What about, 80 gold?" Yallah interjects.

Still nothing.

"60?" Magallah squeaks, as an air of desperation enters her voice.

Despite the vast fortune she and her partner have made off of exploiting Hilda and Sally, the two decadent business women have proven to be exceptionally poor negotiators.

"Your offers are insulting," the dark elf buyer finally speaks.

"Hey now..." Yallah responds defensively. "J-just because we need some quick cash doesn't mean..."

"Yallah!" Magallah whines. "Don't tell them thaaaat!"

It's true. The two formerly shrewd owners have allowed themselves to get distracted since Hilda and Silvia sashayed into their lives and have ended up in a liquidity crisis of their own making.

"Two gold." The orc says, sensing blood in the water. "For both."

"H-hey! I'm worth more than that!" Silvia snaps, outraged at being low-balled (and not in the good way).

"Shuddup you!" Magallah barks.

She raises a hand as if she intends to strike Silvia, who immediately shrinks away and cowers behind Hilda.

"I withdraw my offer," the orc says. "I have no need for uppity slaves."

The green-skinned woman turns around and goes to leave.

"W-wait! Come back!" Yallah pleads, but it's too late.

"Fine! We don't need her!" Magallah spits out. "Now, back to business. 30 gold each?"

"It's a buyer's market," the drow buyer declares. "That asking price is just too high."

The other remaining seller, who has yet to speak, simply nods.

"Well, what is a fair price for two exquisite slaves like these?" Yallah exasperatedly asks.

A pregnant pause fills the air as the buyers mull it over.
