Sisterly Advice

Ellie rode the elevator down to the first floor of the dorms, wiping away the tears that continued to try and escape. I'm so stupid. I actually thought this was going to go well? After everything that's happened? I don't get to have a happy ending after the shit I did. I betrayed Will, I betrayed Juliet, and I betrayed Quinn. The elevator doors rolled open and Ellie rushed out, her direction was unclear, but the only thing her mind was telling her was to get distance. To get as far away from Kenny and Juliet as she could right now.

Juliet's right, I'm no fucking good. I'm a cheater. I'm still a slut. Kenny can do so much better than me! Ellie lower lip trembled and she wiped her eyes again. Some times, things aren't meant to be, that's how the world works. It doesn't matter what we feel, it's just too fucking messy to work! So many bridges will be burned. The constant judgmental, scowling looks. I don't want to put him through that. I won't. Ellie swallowed hard, her whole body tightening and her stomach turning. I...I'll tell him later...I'll tell Kenny we can't be together. Ellie finalized in her head as she exited the dorms, heading out into the courtyard.

"There she is!" Ellie jumped at the sound of her sister's voice, "I'll admit, I didn't expect you to be up and about so early. Figured you must have had a very late night," The blonde looked over her should finding Tessa sitting on a halfway, seemingly enjoying the sights of BMU. However, one clear look at Ellie's face, and Tessa's upbeat attitude shifted right to concerned, "What happened? Are you alright?" Tessa jumped up and moved to her sisters side,

"I'm fine," Ellie's cracking, hoarse voice betrayed her answer in an instant. Tessa let out a soft sigh and took her hand, pulling Ellie along as they walked, "Where are we going?"

"Somewhere to talk about this in private," Tessa softly replied. The two Westchester sisters headed through the courtyard and back to the parking lot, not stopping until they were back at Ellie's car. With a little tug, Tessa finished pulling her sister to the front bumper, making her lead against it while she took a shielding, protective stance in front of her, for any by-passers, "Okay Mimi, talk to me,"

"Talk about what? I told you I'm fine," Ellie's head hung low, and despite her weak protest she made no effort to walk away from the conversation,

Tessa wet her lips and glanced around, making sure no one was near, "Is this about Kenny? Did something happen between you two?" Ellie quickly looked up, "Don't be so surprised, Mimi, I know when you're into a boy, and I definitely know when you've been doing a lot more with Kenny than working out all summer,"

"Looks like everyone fucking knows that," Ellie bitterly retorted, "Everyone always knows everything that's going on in my life. Regular fucking celebrity of Greenwall, I am."

Tessa placed her hands on her hips, and gave her sister a hard glare, "Mimi..."

"Fine, you know what? I don't even fucking care anymore! You want to know everything, fine!" Ellie abruptly snapped back, "Kenny and I have been together this whole fucking summer. That's why I broke up with Will! And yesterday, I was in my dorm room with Quinn, Nicole, doing all these fucking stupid tests on Kenny so he would decide which one of us he was going to date!"

Part of Tessa wished she could be surprised by the news but knowing her sisters reputation, along with her own knowledge of Kenny, caused this news to barely faze her, "And I take it...Quinn or Nicole did best in these tests?"

"No!" Ellie sniffled, her eyes welling up, "I won! He...He picked me..." Ellie finished with a soft whimper and cupped a hand over her eyes, hiding her tears.

"Hey...Mimi, hey, why are you crying then?" Tessa comfortingly rested her hands on Ellie's shoulders, rubbing and squeezing them, "What's wrong with you winning?"

"E-Everything," Ellie let her hand fall away, "I can't be with Kenny, it's too messy. Quinn is enraged, I'm certain Nicole is resentful. Juliet just tore me apart calling me a no good slut that Kenny can do so much better then! And thanks to my shitty fucking choices, everyone is going to look at me as a cheating slut who will step out on Kenny. Everyone knows this is a terrible fucking idea,"

Without hesitation Tessa let out a loud, nearly offended sounding scoff, "That's always been your fucking problem, Mimi," The blonde stared back at her sister in confusion, "You care to much about what everyone else thinks!"

"No I don't," Tessa blankly stared back at her younger sister, "W-Well, who doesn't care what people think sometimes?"

"A lot of people," Ellie rolled her eyes and crossed her arms, "Ellie, are you seriously trying to tell me that you're going to let other people dictate who you can be with? That you'd leave Kenny -- A guy that you fucking love -- because you're so worried that they don't fucking approve?"

"What are you talking about?! I don't -- Kenny is --"

"I woke up the other night, heard you two, and even if you don't remember it slipping out. You told the guy you loved him," Ellie's face went ghost white, "So who the fuck cares about what other people think?! Why are you letting that control you!?"

"I said that? I a-actually told him that I --" Ellie stammered,

"Yeah, you did, and that's okay. You're allowed to be in love. You're allowed to love the guy you left your ex for. You're allowed to love someone even if other people judge you. Fuck anyone who thinks they know better. All that matters is you and Kenny, okay? Do you get that?" Tessa brought her hands to Ellie's face, holding her as she sternly looked into her eyes, "Don't let anyone take away your chance to be happy, Elle. Don't!"

Ellie blinked a few slow times, her mind catching up with everything that Tessa was telling her as well as the reality of what she drunkenly told Kenny the night before. "I...love him..." She softly said under her breath, "I do love him," She continued with a small smile starting to form.

Tessa grinned letting go of her sister who started to stand up straighter, her face lightening, and eyes drying, "Then why the hell are you here talking to me?"

"You're right!" Ellie confidently stepped past her sister, "Fuck everyone else, I love him, and I'm not letting anything come between us. This is mine. This is real. Fuck whoever says something else!" Tessa proudly watched as her younger sister strode off, heading back to the dorms, ready to find the man she'd fallen for so many months ago.
