Single (Switch route)

Since asking you if her partner can stay over, they had spent a few nights there with Emma in her room. The timing never lined up for you to meet them, and you just went based on what Jane told you when you were home. On the fourth week of Emma living there she started acting really bitchy towards you, and when you asked your wife why, she didn't know why. Only saying that 'Emma wasn't talking to her either, and whenever she tried she got yelled at back'.

Coming back home on Friday, you find Jane and Emma on the living room sofa. Jane is holding Emma in her arms and from the looks of it Emma has been crying. As you approach you get a quick wave off from your wife to say not now, and instead you head into your office taking off your suit jacket and setting your bag next to your desk. You start working on a modification to the fucking machine, one that will let you hook up some more devices to it. This being based on the information you discovered when you first got the machine. After an hour or so of working, you hear a knock on your door and looking up you see Jane walking over to you.

"Hey Sweetie, I've made dinner and called you a couple of times but I guess you were too focused. Emma has had a bad day, but I'll let her explain that to you herself, it's not my place. She's gone upstairs to her room for now, wanna join me at the table?"

Getting up and locking your computer, you take your wifes arm into yours and walk with her to the table and enjoy a nice dinner together. After dinner you head upstairs and get changed into your regular PJs, then head back downstairs and continue working on the modification project. After a few hours you stop working for the night and go to find your wife. Not finding her downstairs you go upstairs to look in your bedroom, finding it empty you walk to your sister in laws room and knock on the door. Jane opens the door and then looks at Emma who nods before you enter the room. Your wife walks back to her sister and holds her some more, while you sit on the edge of the bed waiting for one of them to talk.

"Do you want to tell him Emma, or shall I?"

"It's fine, I'll tell him. John me and my partner broke up on Monday as I found out they were cheating on me with a client of theirs. I'm sorry that I've been a bitch to you this week, it's just been difficult to deal with and seeing you and Jane being happy with each other after I found out made me resent you both. I finally broke down about it before I left for work today, and Jane called them and said I wouldn't be in as I had a sore throat and couldn't talk. Which was mostly true as I had cried myself to sleep and screaming into my pillow."

While she's explaining this she starts to get upset and your wife starts to cuddle her some more. You also move over to her and cuddle her as well, hoping that she would take it as a sign that you don't hold her being bitchy at you against her.

"I know it's unusual to ask, but would it be okay if Jane sleeps with me tonight? I don't want to be alone right now, and I would feel awkward being alone with you tonight."

"If Jane is okay with it, then sure. I don't mind sleeping on my own tonight if you need the company."

"I'll certainly spend the night with you Emma. We can go out tomorrow as well, just the two of us and spoil ourselves. I'm sure John won't mind, after all he seemed pretty focused on a project before dinner. You don't mind if I spent tomorrow with Emma and spend some money spoiling ourselves?"

"Nope, not a problem with it at all. If I remember right you wanted to have a spa day soon, so take Emma with you, and you two have a nice day together."

Both of them give you a big hug as you get up to leave them, and you give your wife a kiss when she hugs you. You quickly head downstairs and grab your personal laptop from your desk and sync your current project work up with it. Once you're upstairs you spend more time working on the project for the fucking machine.
