Chapter 9 by gunde gunde

what happens?

Silk tells them to stay calm

“Look girls, none of us here know each other at all really, so let’s take it easy and skip the power-struggle, okay?” Silk was using her most calm and collected voice to talk to the two.
“Okay.” Tina muttered.
“Fine.” Tera added.
“Good, now the way I see it, Tera will make a useful contribution to the plan that I’m drawing up in my head.”
“Oh, and what’s your plan Silk?” Tina asked, more interested in the werewolf now.
“We’ll save that to later. Introductions first: Officer, I’m Silk and this here is my… associate Tina. We’re currently tracking down the werewolf. And you are?”
“Tera, of the city guard, also hunting for that wretched beast.”
“Good, buy an ale and have a seat.” Silk advised her, and Tera walked over to the bar, where Krohan was doing his best to pretend that he hadn’t noticed the girls rather harsh introduction to each other.
“Barkeep, serve me a pint of your ale!”
“Aye, honoured woman of the watch. And may I tell you something while I pour it?”
“And what would that be?”
“Go easy on the girls, they may be a bit rough around the edges. But down below, each of them aren’t that bad.” Krohan placed the stoop onto the bar, where Tera had placed a few coins as payment.
The busty, red-headed lawwoman simply nodded to the barman and headed back to Tina’s and Silk’s table.
“So mage, what’s your plan and how do I fit into it?” She asked as she seated herself.
“Simple, you’re bait.” Silk answered, a wicked smile across her face.
“What!?”
“Yes, for you see; the werewolf has a taste for red-heads, and my friend Tina here he has already met. You however, would be a new acquaintance, capable of luring him out into the open where we can take him down.”
“But I’m an officer of the watch! I can’t go around pretending to be a whore!”
“You can if nobody recognizes you.” Silk calmly replied.
“Oh, and how would that happen?” Tera said, more than a bit sceptical to the plan.
“Watch this:” Silk said and whispered a few words, pointing her right hand at Tera.
Nothing seemed to happen, and Tera was far from impressed.
“So, what did that do? I still look the same.”
“Yes you do, but then ask Tina here if she’s ever seen you before.”
“Excuse me, but have we met before?” Tera asked Tina.
“Not that I can recall, but you see to know Silk, so I’m glad to meet you.” Tina stretched her hand toward Tera.
“That could be a trick!” Tera cried out.
“Oh really?” Silk said, and pointed towards the five off-duty lawmen that just entered the bar; none of them even noticed Tera, not even the one that looked as though he was very uncomfortable with visiting such an establishment, that one was Dan of course.
“Maybe it is working…” Tera muttered to herself.
“Of course it does, now about the plan…” Silk said and then went over the details.
