Chapter 11 by Ben Rosewood Ben Rosewood

That's enough for this rabbit hole for tonight. Maybe I should watch some TV?

Sila doesn't suspect a thing

One episode of BoJack Horseman later and Sila is heading inside to the living room.

"How did your shift go?" I ask.

"Yeah good. Thanks for the tip."

"Thanks for the food."

"No problem. Do you want a drink?"

"Sure. Another White Claw would be great. Thanks."

Sila moves off as I realize she'll figure out her laptop is still on. Maybe she'll put two and two together. At least she'll have some booze to get her somewhat buzzed and relaxed. Eventually, she comes through the dining room entrance and walks towards me, with two cans in hand.

"Everything alright?" I ask.

"Yeah. Just plugged my laptop into the charger. Forgot to do that."

"Oh. I didn't notice-" A little too focused on what was on screen.

"It's fine. Not your job."

"Right. Probably don't want me touching your laptop anyway."

"Yeah that's true."

She then sits down and passes me a can. To my relief, she doesn't seem to suspect a thing. Then again, she strikes me as the kind of person who'll let her anxious little mind create plenty of paranoid stories. Still, nothing I can do about that but get drunk and watch my favorite alcoholic horseman. After another episode, we both agree to call it a night.

How does tomorrow go?
