Chapter 5

Who do you side with?
Side with the Merfolk(Align yourself more with non-humans)
Merfolk and Blue Dragons aren't exactly allies, but they generally do have cordial relations. Meanwhile, humanity has been a constant thorn in your side even when you do not even bother them. That makes it hard to sympathize with the human crew. With your decision made, you swoop down and land on the rear of the ship behind the humans fighting.
Before they can react to your presence, you release a rumbling roar. Perhaps it is not The Great Bellow that your father can produce, but certainly enough to cause those nearby to stop and turn. Inhaling deeply, you stoke the fire in your belly and unleash a jet of flame that engulfs one of the sailors. An audible gasp is heard from the other humans and cheers from the Merfolk. Meanwhile the man burning in your flames screams and flees off the deck of the ship, crashing into the water below. The splash below signaled the fight to reignite as you pounce down on the main deck to face the biggest threat to the scuffle: The Lady Knight.
She grimaces and turns to face you. "Dragon." She hisses while raising her shield to protect herself.
You growl irritably a response "Human."
It's clear that another gout of fire won't likely harm her. Knights and Adventurers are always prepared for some kind of fire. Whether it's dragonfire or magical fire, it matters not. Thus you simply circle each other while waiting for one to make the first move.
Suddenly you see her eyes widen under her helmet briefly signaling her attack as she swings forward. You dodge the attack before quickly darting forward and biting down on her sword arm. A metallic crunch is felt in your mouth as your bite bends the steel of her armor. However, your bite isn't strong enough nor your teeth long enough to rend the metal and she bashes the side of your face with her shield a few times until you're **** to let go. As you stumble back, she swings forward again and this time her blade slices your shoulder. A sharp pain runs down your foreleg. Without hesitating, you bound at her and claw at her chest. Your sharp talons resonates a loud screeching sound as it scrapes against her armour. She quickly stumbles past you, switching positions so you didn't get behind her.
You circle each other again. Her armour looks fairly battle worn and blood spills down your right foreleg, tinging your scales from blue to a faint magenta color. You growl irritably, she is still unharmed, but her armor is heavily damaged. If you continue your ****, then maybe you will be able to tear through her armor to her soft interior and then it'd be over.
While contemplating your next move, her movements bring her facing away from the edge of the deck. With you taking up her full attention, she doesn't notice the male Merfolk slink out of the water. He quietly slips over the rail and onto the deck. With a quick thrust, the head of his spear sinks into the weaker armor on the back of her knee. She shouts in pain and blood splatters the spear.
The Knight falls to her knee and you see your chance. Barreling towards her, you collide your wounded shoulder into her chest. A sharp pain throbbed through your body as your momentum push the both of you towards the the edge of the deck. She gasps as her legs buckle over the rail and clutches at your neck, dropping her sword in the process as you both go crashing into the ocean. With the girl grasping you firmly and her heavy armour pulling you down, the two of you sink swiftly into the depths. Looking around, you see several Merfolk including a masked female with long black hair and a large trident and slightly heavier armor than her counterparts. They swiftly make way for the tumble of metal and flesh that you and the knight have become.
You realize that this is swiftly becoming dangerous for you. You can breathe for a long time underwater, but if you sink much more deeply; the pressure of the water could cause you trouble. The Knight seems to realize that her life is being measured by the minute and seems to be determined to take you along with her. Growling, you start clawing at her and trying to get her to let go, but she holds on tightly.
Finally, you see her expose her neck accidentally and swiftly take advantage of it. Biting down at the base of her neck, you feel her whole body stiffen. Blood pours into your mouth and the water around you and her body goes limp and lets go of your neck. You watch briefly as her limp body sinks into the darkness before turning and swimming back up to the surface.
Once you crawl back onto the ship, you find that the remaining of the battle is already over. The bodies of the other human sailors are being tossed one by one into the sea.
As you catch your breath from the exertion of the fight, one of the male Merfolk notices you and comes over. He speaks in the Merfolk tongue. A language that can be spoken both above and below the water and fortunately one that you are well versed in. "<Dragon! I take it your battle went well?>" He notices your bloody shoulder and motions towards another Merfolk at the front of the ship "<You should get that looked at by our doctor.>"
You nod politely "<Thank you. I shall do that.>"
The Merfolk man gives your good shoulder a friendly slap. "<It's no problem. Without you, that Knight would have killed many more of our people.>"
The Doctor takes a look at your wound and cleans it before applying a strange liquid to a roll of kelp reeds. You wince as the strange liquid causes the slice to burn, but after the cool kelp is applied; it slowly begins to feel better.
Meanwhile, it would appear that the bounty from looting the ship is being divided. While your wound is being tended, the Merfolk involved in the attack trickle out of the former captain's quarters a few at a time. Small pouches at their belt and occasionally a crate of something is tossed into the sea. Probably to be tended to later below water.
Finally, the last to appear is the long haired Merfolk female that you saw briefly during your tumble. She looks around briefly until her eyes lay on you and motions for you to enter the quarters. You wander over and enter wondering what she wants.
She's behind the captain's desk when you enter. She smiles at you, "<Great Dragon. I am Captain Nimuae. You have done us a great service today and I have decided that this is your cut of the prize from this ship.>" She pats an ornate chest sitting on the desk in front of her.
Her armour has been removed and the ornate mask she was wearing is sitting in the window behind her. She's currently wearing very little on her top. The only thing covering her breasts is some sort of plant fiber bra. From her waist down, she's wearing a thin green fabric skirt through which you can just barely make out the outline of her slender lower body. The dress extends down until just before her tail touches the floor. So it doesn't get into the way of her movement.
You move behind the chest on the desk. It's closed, but the box itself is probably worth a decent amount of gold. "< I appreciate the offer Nimuae. However, I simply killed a single knight. Your men did the rest.">
"<It has already been decided. My men are already returning home with the rest of the loot from this raid. There's nobody else to have it other than you even if you refuse. Now come behold your prize."As she speaks, her hand rests gently on the chest.
As you maneuver around the room to her side of the desk, she sits up on the edge of it. In many ways this reminds you of her land-based cousins. You push open the lid of the chest and examine its contents. It appears to be several hundred gold pieces. Possibly almost as much wealth as your recently abandoned hoard. "<This is...quite a large sum of gold.>"
"<It was quite loaded with wealth...this human ship.>" Suddenly her demeanor changes. A hungry look appears in her eyes and you feel her hand slide up your foreleg. "<You claim that killing that knight was no big challenge, but it would have taken a dozen or more of my men to bring her down. Nothing excites me more than to see a show of strength like that.>" Her hand strokes your foreleg slowly and suggestively and she leans in close. You feel the thin fabric of her bra pressing against you. "<If you're interested, I have a second prize for you...>"
Claim your second prize?
Mutata Draco
