Shower and breakfast

You wake with the morning light streaming through your window. Twenty minutes later you are showered and shaved and wide awake, feeling immensely refreshed and smiling over your memories of disciplining Valerie yesterday. Humming, you dress and go downstairs to find your roommate at the kitchen table drinking coffee and looking at his phone, an empty plate by his side.

"Oh hey Mason," he greets you. "I made coffee, and I was going to wake you to see if you wanted breakfast but I decided to let you sleep."

"Thanks," you say, helping yourself to coffee. "I'm not much for breakfast. I'll just make some toast."

"Best meal of the day," he laughs.

"I used to think so too," you chuckle, sitting down with your coffee. "How'd you sleep?"

"Good," he smiles, nodding his head thoughtfully. "Pretty weird day yesterday. So what's on your agenda for today? I'm thinking of going in to town and buying a car. Something cheap, just to get around. It's too long a hike to town from here. Want to come along? I know you're in the same boat?"

You consider the idea. A car would give you some mobility and more opportunities to escape the temptations that Pink Rose Academy keeps throwing in front of you.

"Sure I'm in," you tell him.
