Show her my place

Heidi smiles eagerly at me as we leave Stevenson Hall. "It is so good to be meeting a nice American boy already!" she says enthusiastically. "You can show it to me?"

"No problem, I can show it to you," I say, smirking at her.

"So what are we going to do today, Dwayne?" she says, smiling at me.

"How about I show you my pad?" I say casually.

"Pad?" she repeats.

"Yeah, my place," I say.

"Oh, okay," she says, a little hesitantly. I guess nice German girls don't usually go to strange men's houses alone. Good thing she's so polite.

"So you are famous for playing sports?" Heidi asks cheerily.

"I'm pretty famous," I say. "You like sports?"

Heidi smiles. "No, I don't know them. In Germany, 'football' is soccer and there is not much basketball. I am for hiking in summer and skiing in winter..." She talks some more about herself, but I don't really care who she is or what she likes.

We finally get to my place and I let her in. It's pretty sparcely decorated and most of my stuff is still in boxes. It's not much to look at, but she smiles politely.
