Should I use AI images

I can't get Ko-Fi to work so any further commissions will be out of my own pocket, and I still going to commission images. But I find a system called Civitai that would let me generate images of certain canon characters for the story and modify them to the needs of the story.

But I know AI art is controversial, and some people don't like it for a variety of reasons and personal taste so I wanted to hear people's thoughts. If I do decide to go through of it it'll be limited to only SFW images to comply with fimfiction rules, can't use more than one pony, and will be limited to certain canon characters due to AI limiations.
