Short

"Short," you say.

Mrs. Anderson smiles. "Short it is," she says. She takes the mirror from you and has you lean back into the sink so she can shampoo your hair. When Mrs. Anderson's finished rinsing your hair, she has you sit in the styling chair and put on a cape and she gets to work. You don't pay much attention as she's certainly cutting it short enough on the back and sides. She seems to leave it a little longer on top than you were expecting, but you figure she knows what she's doing and you let her get on with it.

When she's done, she gives you a mirror so you can look at her handiwork. You are a little appalled at the pixie-ish haircut she has given you. You have to admit it looks cute, but it's way more feminine than you expected.

"Can't you take more off the top?" you ask.

"Don't be silly, Parker. You look adorable. The girls are going to love it," she replies. Well, perhaps she's right, you think. It does give you a certain androgynous quality that a lot of girls seem to go for.

"Now, we need to give you a manicure and pedicure. Do you want any polish on your nails? You can have either red or pink," Mrs. Anderson says.
