Shopping With Aoi

Nezuko was sitting in the back of Panam's car, in the front was Panam herself, who was driving and Aoi who was going through a list. "I swear, with all the new characters Ethan buys, the more food I have to get, I'm just thankful that we started growing our own fruits and vegetables as well as some other stuff, thank you for offering to come help, I really appreciate it." Aoi looked back at Nezuko with a smile.

"Do... You do this all on your own?" Nezuko asked her.

"I do, but thankfully I have a storage cube so that I can store all the groceries inside and walk around without much of an issue." Aoi assured Nezuko. "And are you sure you're okay with the clothes you're wearing?"

Nezuko was wearing her regular outfit, the pink kimono and brown robe over it. "I'm alright, I'm not used to the... Other clothes..." Nezuko admitted.

"It's alright, I had to adjust as well." Aoi nodded and looked at Panam. "So you're coming with."

"Last time I went with you, I got impatient." Panam gave Aoi a look.

"No excuses...."

Nezuko looked out the window and saw all the people and their Characters, the city was huge, she felt small...

"Umm Nezuko, you're shrinking." Aoi said as she looked at the rear view mirror.

Nezuko jumped and adjusted her size. "I'm sorry, it's just... Overwhelming."

"You girls wouldn't survive Night City." Panam snorted.

"Considering our home timeline, it's not really unexpected." Aoi gave Panam a glare.

"Night City?" Nezuko asked Aoi.

"It's where Panam is from... It's a futuristic city that's full of corruption and criminals, if you think this is overwhelming, just imagine Night City like this but way worse." Aoi explained.

Nezuko scowled. "Then why does such a place exist?" She asked.

"Greed and arrogance." Panam shrugged. "It's why I tried to stay out while I was living in that world, Ethan gave me a way out, haven't been there since."

"She's right." Aoi sighed. "People want to leave their mark or get more stuff, at least with our master he's not being a complete jerk about it."

"How so?" Nezuko looked confused.

"Well he took over his version of hell because of all the sinners... That and he likes to have fun there... and he is trying to make Night City better from what he tells me, it's a slow process but progress none the less." Aoi explained.

"... You believe him?" Aoi looked at Nezuko who looked in disbelief.

"He hasn't lied to me before." Aoi shrugged and looked ahead.

"How can you be so sure?" Panam asked this time, she wasn't fully trusting of Ethan as of yet.

Aoi looked a bit conflicted. "Well I believe him, he hasn't really given me a reason to not believe him... And I get updates from Meru and Loona who go there at a daily basis, same with Rebecca and Arcee in Night City." She explained.

"That makes more sense." Panam nodded in understanding.

Nezuko looked out the window and saw Characters that she didn't recognise, some she did from the anime and shows she saw some of the other girls watched, one being covered in latex.

Nezuko shivered at the sight and looked out the other side and did a double take as she saw a blonde woman wearing purple sucking off a man out in the open and even a mobile strip club with girls on the poles as they pass.

Nezuko looked disgusted at the sight.

"Ugh some people don't have manners!" Aoi rolled her eyes as she saw the sight of a man being blown.

"Don't you and Ethan do it in the kitchen when you think you're alone?" Panam asked.

Aoi blushed. "W-where did you hear that?!"

"Ty Lee." Panam answered.

Nezuko looked at Aoi in surprise who blushed harder and denied it.

They arrived at the grocery store and parked.

"Come on Panam, you're helping." Aoi said as they got out.

Entering the supermarket, Nezuko looked around at all the people and the produce they had, it was the size of a huge warehouse.

"How... Do you find anything here?" Nezuko muttered in disbelief.

"With immense difficulty, thankfully I have a list so I can keep track of what we need." Aoi took out her phone. "Panam, get a cart."

After getting a cart, that was the size of a cart, they walked around the supermarket, Nezuko loads of food and beverages, some she haven't even heard of before.

"Is... Are those eyeballs?" Nezuko was staring at a box with the name Eyeholes

"Don't look at them." Aoi dragged her away.

"Simple Rick?" Nezuko had a package of pink wafers in her hands.

"I tried them, tasted like painful memories." Panam answered.

"These fruits look so weird." Nezuko was looking at a alien looking fruit.

"I don't trust those fruits..." Aoi said as she looked at the labels for the names, it was a word she couldn't pronounce.

"Smart..." Panam said as she swore she saw a fruit move.

"Are these made of krabs?" Nezuko was staring at a freezer lined with frozen packages of krabby patties.

"They don't say, but they taste good, take 3 packs." Aoi told her.

"I-is this real chimera meat?!" Nezuko asked in shock as she looked at the meat that had the label, she saw what chimeras looked like online and they just sell it here?!

"They sell everything that gets them money... Hey have you ever cooked with this?" Panam asked Aoi who hummed and started to ask for some from the butcher who was a large man with a meat cleaver for a hand.

"They... They sell blood?" Nezuko saw the fridge with cartons of the stuff.

"Vampires are common, they do need it to survive." Aoi explained as they passed .

"Did you know that vampires aren't weak against garlic?" Panam asked as she looked up from her phone.

"They aren't?" Aoi asked as they continued their shopping.

"That's a lot of detergent!" Nezuko exclaimed as she saw the large bottle of detergent.

"It's a good deal!" Aoi said as she looked at the price.

Nezuko was now sure that this place was just weird.

The demon girl spotted a Princess Peach with a stroller and holding a leash .. the one on the leash was Mario. "Woof!"

"..." Nezuko looked weirded out. "Is... That normal?" She looked at her two companions.

"... Not the weirdest I've seen." Aoi shrugged.

"Dare I ask?" Panam looked at Aoi.

Aoi gained a faraway look in her eyes. "No." She pushed the cart, with everything they got in the cart, Nezuko was surprised that the cart was able to take the weight.

"Panam can you get the eggs?" Aoi asked.

"Sure... Which one?" Panam turned to get it as they passed the eggs isle then she realised that there were different types of eggs.

"Chicken... Duck... Squid... Dinosaur... Dragon... Mudhorn... Giant mutated chicken?!" Nezuko listed out and her jaw dropped as she saw the large eggs that were as big as her.

"Get duck eggs." Aoi said, not looking up from her list. Panam did as she was told and they went on their way.

"Free sample?" Nezuko jumped and looked at a ginger haired girl wearing a yellow top and shorts had a tray with what looked to be a slimy cube.

"Umm what are these?"

"Teyvat slime cubes!"

"... No thank you." Nezuko rushed back to her companions.

They were finally at the checkout. Aoi took out a credit card as the items were being scanned.

Nezuko noticed that there were people outside with signs.

Aoi noticed and sighed. "WAR, I loathe those people..." She said as she looked at Panam. "Bring the car around?"

"Right." Panam rushed out.

"Who are they?" Nezuko asked.

"...People who are against RealDreams." Aoi said simply and left it at that.

The demon girl looked at the protesters.

"... I know what you're thinking but just give Ethan a chance before you do anything." Aoi sighed.

Nezuko looked at Aoi and bit her lip. "Okay..." She crossed her arms.

They took the cart with the groceries outside to where Panam was waiting and put the bags inside before leaving.

Nezuko was thinking about Aoi's words.
